Perhaps I've been lucky - or am naive and don't know about it - but I've seen very little in the way of prof-student relationships, and when they have arisen people have been very careful to observe the boundaries, to the extent of a student withdrawing from a class and taking it the next term with a different prof.

This is what drives me crazy. We largely accept that a prof cannot/should not have sex with a student, because the power differential is such that true consent is inevitably blurry. The power differential in a COC in the military ... lightyears greater than that between a prof and an undergrad.
