This is what drives me crazy. We largely accept that a prof cannot/should not have sex with a student, because the power differential is such that true consent is inevitably blurry. The power differential in a COC in the military ... lightyears greater than that between a prof and an undergrad.

They threatened to charge her with adultery as well, unless she agreed to cooperate with the prosecution. At this point she feels far more abused by the court-martial process than by Sinclair.

Did some grad work in this before getting too depressed. Yeah, you're bang on. Also, they claim that the Jews really died of influenza ersumshit not so bad ... somehow?

She's shocked, utterly shocked, to find out that an HRH in line to the throne isn't treated exactly the same as everyone else?

Thank you!

My SIL was *proud* of the fact that he could put a DVD in and start it by himself at 18 months, and did so all the time. Now he's on a shitload of drugs for ADD and is antisocial. Obviously there are many things that contribute to these conditions, but holy fuck, training him to stare vacantly at a screen practically

Yeah. We always have the option of watching less TV/reading fewer gossip rags, I guess.

Activity 4: While rolling and unrolling sleeves at random intervals, but God help you if you get it wrong.

Ah crap, I've been working on chin-ups and had no idea they were that different. Any suggestions on getting from chin ups to pull ups?

First of all, you are awesome and I am in awe of your accomplishments. Sincerely.

It may not be beneficial, but I can think of no better arbiter of its effectiveness than those who have actually walked the walk.

It isn't fair to compare them directly to the Army, because their structure, culture, organization and mandate are different. But they do things the Army simply can't; this is basic military history stuff, not anything secret or esoteric. And they traditionally do it with inferior equipment, lower levels of funding,

And the good news is if you seldom let them watch, then it is a MASSIVE treat when you do let them. So if you're sick as hell and can't entertain kids, they are so happy to watch a movie quietly and let you sleep. Or, ahem, give you and dad private time, etc.

I, too, am going only by anecdote, but it seems to me that we are getting MORE uptight about alcohol during pregnancy. My grandmother was told drinking wine was fine, and their main concern was women drinking calories instead of eating too much to avoid getting fat; (!!!) my mother was told it was fine in small

I see your point; however, given the identity and ethos of Marines cf the other services, I'm not willing to say there is no merit in having high standards for their own sake. They are a self-selecting group; making it easier to become a Marine will cause a qualitative change in the Corps, and I'm not in the habit of

Gotcha.

That makes sense to me.

I think the thing with FB also is the reconnecting with exes. I have heard of a few people in their 40s suddenly getting back in touch with high school flames and rekindling, as it were. I wonder if this will have the same effect now that you never need to lose touch?

There are two tests, one of sheer strength using gym-like exercises, one involving scenarios more linked to actual combat.
