I’ve ranted a few times about how F1 needs to reduce their reliance on downforce if they want to have more exciting races. Let the drivers race instead of determining the outcome based on engineering budgets and who can get the cleanest air over their aero parts.

You would be correct. During my early formative years, everybody had a picture of a Porsche 959, C4 Corvette, or Ferrari Testarossa on their bedroom walls.

I’m a car guy and honestly, until today, I didn’t know that there was a Porsche 914. I’ve only ever seen references to the 914/6 so I just assumed that was the model name and inwardly chuckled at those wacky Europeans for putting a slash in the middle of the name.

Being able to drive an electric car over 200 miles at a time, and being able to fill it back up to 80 percent electricity in about 20 minutes, is good.

I’m not concerned about the safety aspect, more about the downtime.  Using standard residential service it looks like it would be possible to drain the charging station faster than it could recharge, so I was concerned over whether a charging station could ‘run out of gas’ if too many people charge too quickly.

1st: Not disparaging EVs in any way (drive a PHEV myself), but one thing that’s bothered me about these super-ultra-mega fast chargers is how they themselves are recharged. Buckle up people, it’s math time.

I’ve been on the internet too long. I saw the title about “Gummi ships in Kingdom Hearts” and expected an article about steamy fanfics involving a character named Gummi getting busy with Donald Duck and Goofy.

Yeah, that trap either needs to be extended or that wall needs a couple layers of tires. The track designers may feel that people who go wide on that corner don’t deserve to get stuck in a trap, but that big patch of grass doesn’t do much for drivers that are exiting one of the fastest corners on the track backwards…

When my cousin destroyed my aunt’s car in similar circumstances, the culprit was the transmission fluid. The fluid got so hot that either a seal or the cap was comprimised and sprayed a vapour of AT fluid all over the hot manifold.
