Trump Admin: “You asked for it. 25% tariff on all imports from California!”

Probably the terms of the contract with Velocity. Velocity wants people to watch WEC on their channel so that they can capture the advertising bucks, but if the WEC stream takes away viewers then the Velocity feed isn’t worth as much.

The excitement will naturally wane. People will become complacent and forget about things if they don’t have a reason to stay excited, so if there’s not a steady drip of information keeping people engaged, the lifetime sales of an item will likely reduce the longer it’s in a pre-release state.

If it’s that far off, perhaps the better solution was to not announce it last year. Nintendo can’t have it both ways. Either they announce it early, ride high on the short-term excitement they generate, and watch that excitement wane until release, or they can keep things under wrap, deal with a lower overall

At one point the woman talks about the timefall fast-forwarding whatever it touches. I wonder if dying in this game means rapidly aging and turning to dust while the fetus inside you ages to a similarly aged man with your memories and abilities.

Anybody else getting an Assassin’s Creed vibe? Seemed like a lot of sneaking around and vertical traversal, while combat seemed to be based on parries and counters while enemies approached one at a time.

It’s been said time and again, but I’m sure that Trump just has no clue how to negotiate with equals. When he was screwing over contractors he was always negotiating from a position of power, where he could redefine the terms of an agreement and his opponent either had to accept the loss or spend more that the value

We already tell everyone what they’re allowed to drive. Cars can only be sold if they meet minimum safety and emission standards, the government mandates maximum size and weight limits on vehicles, and our licenses restrict the size and weight of vehicle that we’re allowed to operate even if larger vehicles are

I believe the only prototype racing in America is DPi spec cars in IMSA, and those cars use a combination of a homologated LMP2 chassis, a homologated engine, and branded bodywork. They’re much cheaper than LMP1 cars, but I don’t know whether they would fit the second point regarding freedom of design. IMO making the

I put 12 hours into CK2 before I decided it wasn’t worth my time. It felt like the only way to play that game was to fast-forward to see what event the game was willing to offer you. At points it felt like I was fast-forwarding for hours just waiting for a spy to generate a spurious claim on an adjacent province just

A new trailer for Code Vein just dropped yesterday showing a September 27th (or 28th for Steam?) release date.

The EU published a list of retaliatory products back in March when Trump first started rattling sabres.

Probably just Trump attempting to dissuade the EU from retaliating against the steel and aluminum tariffs. I’m sure that the EU already knows how they’re going to retaliate in a way that targets swing districts as the next salvo in the trade war. If this announcement makes the EU slow down and reconsider their

Yep, you don’t need taxed fuel for lawnmowers, weed whackers, chainsaws, tractors, off-road only vehicles, mining/quarry vehicles, construction vehicles that operate off-road, or for maritime uses. However, good luck getting a 5 gallon delivery of red gas!

You don’t need to use taxed fuel in your lawnmower, it’s just the easiest fuel to obtain. The government won’t charge you if they find red fuel in your lawnmower, chainsaw, or weed whacker.

1st: Either the government will tax miles driven or they’ll tax the electricity.

More that F1 (and most open-wheeled cars) shouldn’t run at Monaco at all. Go-kart tracks may be suitably sized for go-karts, but you’d never host a GT race on one. Similarly, F1 has outgrown Monaco and should stop driving there simply because of tradition.

If it were up to me, open-wheeled cars wouldn’t be allowed at Monaco. As you’ve said they’re just too large for the size of the track and open-wheeled cars just can’t handle contact. I’m sure it’d be a spectacle to run a spec-Miata race on that track though as the competitors could actually get side-by-side without

I love how nonchalantly the fueler puts down the hose when he realizes it’s on fire. The only thing I could think of was this scene from the IT Crowd.

I really wish the police would release a couple frames of the video instead of a single still. A moving image or even a still from a second or two later could really help us with identification. As it stands, I’m even on the fence as to whether it’s a modern car that’s been stretched by motion and a low quality CCD,
