There used to be an out-and-back bit of straight track on the land where the GP circuit now sits. In 1983 they added a bypass to take the track along the old pit lane.

Neutral: While I do enjoy cars, I have never visited an automotive museum while on vacation (aside from the Henry Ford Museum).
You would be wrong. I have absolutely no problem with feet (as long as they’re not on my plate), just with dirty, smelly things being plated alongside food. Some other items I don’t want to see on my plate include:
Google’s an ad company first and foremost. Blocking ads would not be in its own interest at all.
I’m honestly surprised the ATS didn’t see more on-track use. It was homologated as a GT3 car but I can’t recall a single privateer that drove one, and the Cadillac Racing team only seems to care about the IMSA prototype. On paper it seems like the perfect competitor to an M3 yet it just seemed to fade into obscurity.
In a collision with a car, an adult generally is hit below their center of gravity and falls onto the hood and windshield of the car. When hit by a van or SUV, the pedestrian is generally hit at or above their center of gravity and are carried along with the car. A pedestrian struck by a car has a greater chance of…
5th: If Bara’s so concerned about having separate fuel standards across the country, why not just direct engineers to meet the strictest standard? It’s not as if a CARB compliant car will be deemed unfit for sale nationally because it doesn’t meet a national minimum pollution standard.
I’m not Japanese but I would be offended if I was ever served food in any shoe-shaped object, regardless of whether it was elegant, utilitarian, or gross. Shoes, regardless of design, are disgusting. They trod in the dirt and mud, they smell of rubber and who-knows-what chemicals when new, and when used smell like…
Even if Asus spun up a new brand for nVidia and kept AMD cards under the ROG brand, that still does not solve any issues with this program. The dominant supplier in a small market is attempting to dictate how a manufacturer is allowed to use brands that the manufacturer has established. Failure to do so will result in…
But, as HardOCP reported, if they weren’t part of the program they wouldn’t receive any engineering assistance if they ran into issues, they wouldn’t receive previews so that they could get their products prototyped and ready for mass production, and they would not have been a priority recipient of chips, meaning they…
Oh man, that’s actually a great idea for a 2-door car. Most of the time the belt hangs so far back on a coupe that it’s hard to grab without turning around in your seat. Needlessly complicated, mind you, but still a decent idea for helping people with mobility issues.
But Asus has built the ROG brand itself as its gaming oriented lineup. nVidia hasn’t contributed to growing that brand aside from providing components for some of the hardware under that brand, so what right does nVidia have to declare that Asus can only advertise nVidia cards under the ROG brand? Also, where does…
Good. The most egregious part, in my opinion, is the clause that
I still remember the first time I saw a McLaren 570s Spider in the wild. It was parked in a Best Buy parking lot and the front fender was held on with bondo that looked like it was applied by the local high school’s freshman shop class. Decades ago, anybody that could afford a car like that would never take it in…
I’d say the BoP was actually pretty good for this race. The LMP2s had a bit more torque to accelerate out of the corners than the Mazdas, but lap times were still pretty even for the prototypes ranging from 1:13.8 to 1:14.7. IMO the real losers here were the Cadillacs, as only one Cadillac managed to hit a 1:13.9…
In IMSA, the 7 segment displays track position in class, not overall. The prototypes and GTLMs use red LEDs, while the GTDs (and presumably PCs if the class still existed) use green.
It’s damage per missile (multiplied by number of missiles). For example, an SRM6 would have a damage characteristic of 8 (x 6).
SRM and LRM carriers are the bane of my lance. The SRM mounts 10 x SRM6 and the LRM mounts 3 x LRM20, so both are firing 60 missiles per round and knocking down mechs with a single salvo. If an LRM carrier shows up on a base defend mission you can wave goodbye to your ‘All buildings survive’ bonus.
I swear the AI has an increased chance to land head shots. It feels like I can count on one hand the number of times a stray shot has hit an enemy mech’s head and injured the pilot, yet every match 2 or 3 of my pilots take damage from stray headshots and are taken out of action for 20 days.
