I recall reading an article featuring a teardown of the Phantom units (I have no idea how the authors got their hands on one). It turns out the console was just a standard PC with all the components (RAM, video card, etc.) hot-glued or epoxied into place so that they couldn’t be upgraded.

How about a ‘Tree branch might snap and fall on the car’ sensor? Or a ‘Natural gas pipe might rupture under the road and explode’ sensor? Do we need an ‘Excess rain runoff might blow off that manhole cover’ sensor or a ‘Something fell off a car traveling in the other direction and it’s coming towards me at double the

I love that in the lede image only the smallest dinosaur is muzzled. The local government is concerned if your pack mule raptor takes a bite out of somebody’s arm, but it’s all cool to ride an un-muzzled T-Rex through the market district.

Did GM ever fix the timing chain issue on the High Feature engine? I was looking at some second gen CTSs but every forum says to stay as far away from the High Feature V6 since it’s just a matter of time until the timing chain stretches.

When I’m used car shopping, I tend to avoid anything with a turbo. It just feels that it would be easier for a bad driver to damage a F/I engine than a N/A engine due to the increased pressure the engine is under and how easy it’s made out to be to damage the bearings on a turbo if you don’t follow the operating

Then perhaps judges shouldn’t set bail so high. If bails were indexed to net worth, poor people wouldn’t need bail bondsmen.

Is the American auto market large enough to even warrant domestic-only engine development? I’d imagine that most auto manufacturers would prefer to develop equipment that could be exported around the world, not items that would be limited to a closed market. A new engine with less stringent emission regulations

I’m sure it’s just an optical illusion, but are its rear wheels smaller than its front wheels?

I can’t believe they tied Epona to an amiibo. An open world Zelda game with horses everywhere, and the only way to get Epona is to track down an SSB Link amiibo (currently going for about $60). I don’t even care about Epona’s stats or temperment, I just wanted to ride Epona in another Zelda game.

Looks like it’ll be up my alley. I just hope it has more depth than Planetbase.

Ugh, why would they install a curbside rail line when everybody knows it’ll be blocked by somebody who thinks they can park wherever if they just turn on their hazard lights. The track should be at least 1 lane away from the curb, or else the trains will need to be fitted with cow catchers to keep any sort of regular

Haven’t played LoL since 2015 (based on the champions I remember) but I still watch nearly every LCS game. It’s just like watching a traditional sport. I know the rules, objectives, and limitations, the players are familiar to me, and the games are played at the same time every week so I know when to tune in. I get

I really hate developers trying to force esports into everything. I’m a fan of the Dawn of War games but in the latest they reduced the base building, removed flavorful kills (like a powersword slicing through an opposing infantry or a dreadnought grabbing and throwing people away), and simplified the maps in the name

She entered the house and told Macko she noticed a strange smell in the car

20' of trunk, and yet only about 2 cubic feet of cargo space.

At 0:22 you can even see the driver’s hand in the ‘parked’ car. I’d be worried about it moving about too given that it’s not fully out of the travelled lane and the driver’s behind the wheel.

So Tesla is advertising a product feature that will actually damage your vehicle if you use it in the advertised manner? The last time an automaker pulled that was Nissan with the Skyline launch control fiasco, which resulted in a class action lawsuit and an amended warranty for the affected cars.

I wonder if we’ll see manufacturers providing a self-contained rolling chassis with all the worky-bitz and multiple, interchangeable bodies that can be swapped depending on needs. GM may have been 15 years ahead of the curve with their Skateboard Autonomy/Hy Wire chassis.

If the 18 y/o never check into the flight, they were likely flagged as a no-show and their seat reassigned to a stand-by passenger. The stand-by passenger probably got to their assigned seat, saw a car seat occupying the seat instead, and asked a flight attendant what was going on.

These people actually go mudding on fields and roads? I always assumed that mudders went to manicured parks or at least mud holes where they’d previously received permission. The thought of somebody just tear-assing through the low points of somebody’s field just riles me right up, especially considering how much work
