The Volvo with the LIDAR array on its roof is actually one of Uber’s self-driving vehicles that they’re using for testing.

The proposed EPA cuts will also kill off the Energy Star program. I wonder if that will affect the EnergyGuide stickers on new appliances (the yellow usage guide that tells you how efficient the appliance is and estimated running costs).

It wouldn’t surprise me if they hadn’t considered it at all. Existing manufacturers know that maintenance needs to be accounted for and package accordingly, but for a new manufacturer ease of manufacturing probably trumps all.

All I want is a single, unbreakable weapon that follows you through the game. Give me a utility knife that does less damage than the breakable weapons, but is always available to use for chopping down trees or as a last defense when your inventory’s empty.

Just a nitpick, but mores is the proper term here. Social mores are the norms and mannerisms of a society, though the term doesn’t see much usage outside of sociology.

In their defense, that’s a horribly designed merging lane. If drivers don’t ignore the lane markings, they’re forced to pace traffic in the travelled lane and hope the gap they’re shooting for isn’t filled by the time the merge is legal, and then once it’s legal GO GO GO NOW NOW NOW HOLY FUCK YOU ONLY HAVE 8 DASHES

If they end up in 8-10th place, they’ll have to play in a relegation tournament with the top 2 teams in the Challenger series. If they place in the top 3 of that tournament, they’ll stay in the pro league but if they’re in the bottom two they’ll drop down to Challenger status.

It’s in video games, but that doesn’t make it a well known car. I eventually had to google what it was after seeing it in multiple instances of Forza, as I didn’t know why this car had a Nissan badge. I figured it was some coachbuilder special, like a RUF, that was lumped in with Nissan for licensing purposes.

I wouldn’t mind the breakable weapons if Link could maintain at least one unbreakable weapon throughout the game. I’ve wandered through areas without realizing I’m under-leveled, fought some enemies, and gone through nearly my entire inventory of weapons to the point where I’m forced to sprint away or smack things

Note to automakers: Vertical glass works better than horizontal glass at giving unobstructed views of the outside world.

A company that offers rides to people that need rides in exchange for money sounds a lot like a taxicab business to me, and most cities have regulations on what a taxicabs are permitted to do and what they are forbidden from doing. I would hardly classify unlicensed taxicabs as harmless either since the public is

It’s not clever, it’s unethical. By intentionally avoiding regulators, they’re basically admitting that they’re running an illegal taxicab business. They thought it was better to avoid enforcement rather than fixing the issues that made them subject to enforcement.

If it doesn’t have the download ‘music’, I’ll be happy.

Hell, aggressive tailgating would be a desired feature of a fully autonomous vehicle (from an efficiency standpoint, not so much for a passenger’s comfort level). By sticking close to another vehicle you can improve the energy economy of both vehicles and more vehicles will be able to fit on the same piece of road if

I love the magnesis inspired puzzles. That power is the most fun and feels like it should be the most useful but I rarely find myself using it. It’s awesome to run around the world, find a random magnetic piece just sitting on the ground, and trying to discover where it goes.

Now playing

It’s looking like the antenna placement in the left joy-con controller might be the issue. Due to its location and the amount of interference it’s subjected to it appears to be more susceptible to signal loss than the right joy-con.

Give up on cars! Find any other hobby! By the time you can afford the cool ones they’ll all be automatics, and your career’s going to take you where parking space is at a premium so you’ll need to buy one half-sensible vehicle instead of having a boring commuter and a fun weekend car.

I just kited him around in a circle while dropping bombs behind me and trying to fire arrows at his eye. Took me a while but I took him down 1 bomb at a time.

Using that logic, should El Chapo be released? Sure he was facilitating transactions where money was exchanged for narcotics, but pharmacists do that every day! How could El Chapo know whether his distributors were licensed pharmacists or not?

I agree. The track seems to necessitate high downforce (as do most Tilkedromes, it seems) so NASCAR cars, with an emphasis on mechanical grip and rudimentary (compared to F1 and prototype) aerodynamics would probably run a slower pace with a lot of crashes and off-track excursions.
