I get motion sickness and I can’t play Mirror’s Edge for very long, but I love the series.

God those crowds reminds me of zombie hordes.

Reminds me of the old (super old) PSX game Sentient. It was set on a space station slowly falling apart, and you start as just a regular guy and you have to puzzle way your into better gear, station access and abilities to repair the space station.

The game got good reviews at launch, ratings fell when people started realizing that the DLC was priced higher than the base game, couldn’t even be considered expansions, and didn’t add much to a game already completed.

Shiiit, I’m a huge sucker for town-building/management in RPG games. Looks like I can finally commit myself to a full playthrough once the expansion goes live.

Poop gets stuck in the hair and functions as prehistoric Axe Deoderant. Everything in your smelly radius is aware of your presence, including predators and more importantly potential mates who, scarily enough, can judge the health and diet of a person by poop alone.

Of course, I’m making this all up so take this

First time I used a bidet was in Japan and goddamn was it a sensual and near-religious experience. I was so shocked, I almost fell off the toilet giggling and my North American sense of shame had a hard time reconciling how something so pleasurable could also be doing a good job cleaning such a “dirty” taboo area.

The average person has a hard time telling the three cultures and their respective languages apart, let alone those susceptible to xenophobic rages.

Is it bad that I understand where she’s coming from? Why does the idea of “stranger danger” go out the window once we’re no longer children?

Some of my friends that use hook up apps don’t even vet the person beforehand in a public setting, they just show up at a stranger’s door or give out their address and phone

Wait what? I had no clue you could die during that cutscene!

Nationalism is from the bottom up, Romanization was top down. I think a big problem with Romanization is that it only benefitted the rich. The poor had no reason to identify with Roman culture and mostly didn’t.

I hate to pull out my MAN card, but I have to because I agree completely that the problem with rape is how men perceive it.

You’d think that gay men would be more “in tune” with consent, but no we’re not. It’s happened so many times, where I feel pressured into sex or “whoops sex just happens!” despite me saying no

The threat of cancer from radiation exposure is likely overstated. Survivors of the atomic bombs in Japan had lifespans that were only months shorter on average, and the risk of cancer was only slightly increased.

Pollution is actually way more dangerous and has killed way more people than anyone ever exposed to

There’s still extremophiles that live deep underground or deep underwater near vents on the ocean floor. They’d be shielded from radiation.

Isn’t it also hubris to think that humans have the right to affect the earth’s biosphere? The earth isn’t unchanging, just a few thousand years ago the sahara was wet.

Honestly, the only reason I think GamerGate blew up the way it did was because Zoe Quinn is an attractive female gamer/developer. There’s a large subculture of straight white males who get irrationally angry that “SJW” and women are invading their spaces.

Inciting people to suicide is DEFINITELY a crime.

In China, people give a little nod of the head or a handshake, they don’t do the full on Japanese bow regularly. Also, since bowing is seen as extremely polite, you only see service people/waitstaff bowing (i.e. the people beneath you) so that sort of prevents bowing.

I visited Japan with some Chinese, and they were

The price difference is about $100 between Hong Kong and the Mainland. Hong Kong is a free port and there’s no tariffs so pretty much everything is cheaper there. There was also no minimum wage until recently.

Coffee tastes awful too, so it’s more of a question of whether you want a cup of hot awful or can of cold awful.
