I didn’t even cross my mind that The Handsmaid’s Tale was a feminist book. When I studied it in (my Canadian) High School, my female teacher didn’t even point that out to us. I think we were more interpreting it as a cautionary tale about religion, and how toxic gender inequality is to society. Which, of course, is

Omg he’s cute, she’s fine. The babby they form is gonna be stunning!

You’d think poor people would know this, but my roommate (who is on disability) and her mom (also on disability) went on a cruise two years in a row when they couldn’t afford it, even racked up debt through Moneymart and had to cancel the third cruise they planned because my roommate had to declare bankruptcy.

Cheese is actually fine if you’re lactose intolerant. Stay away from the processed stuff and go for aged cheese, the older the better as the aging process breaks down lactose.

Chocolate on the other hand is a pure no-go zone. :(

My boyfriend is Chinese (from China) and is VERY careful with rice. He throws rice away if it’s been at room temperature for too long since “it sucks up bacteria”, and even throws away congee that’s been at holding temperature for too long.

Uh, it’s a food safety thing, not a race thing. If you like playing Russian Roulette with your digestive system then keep doing what you’re doing.

I’m so confused with the widespread reluctance to get naked in a changing room. I mean, I have social anxiety and I’m fine with the 5-10 seconds it takes to expose my junk to the world and change whatever I’m wearing.

A nano with persuasion can give you most of the lore skills just through leveling up and relics, so if you want to get most out of the setting on the first playthrough I’d say go with nano.

He’s right though, he just explained it horribly.

It’s the same kind of difficulty that Dark Souls uses, which I’m not really a fan of. The difficulty level is mostly dependent on your knowledge of the level rather than character progression.

I’m severely depressed right now, on the verge of suicide, but thank you so much for telling me suicide is stupid and wrong. I had NO clue that obsessing about dying is unhealthy and is not normal, and I’m not normal for having these thoughts.

Oh wow, look at that, you defending the stigma of suicide has magically DONE

Dead Rising was never about the challenge... I mean, if it was they wouldn’t give you time to prepare for the boss battles and just throw them at you instead of allowing you to trigger them when you’re ready (and have saved).

I was doing this in high school, except... I slept in my undies, so I’d wake up, shower, get dressed and go to school. Except I’d wear pajamas instead of regular clothes.

Why? Because it was “cool” to be moderately exposed in winter (Canadian here). It’d be -35 outside and girls would wear skirts and ballet flats,

NCIX has terrible service though, like, the absolute worst. They know they got the market locked down and have an endless parade of monied nerds walking through their doors, so they treat their customers like absolute crap.

Yet ethnic cleansing is a thing, has been a thing and will probably always be a thing. People are stupid yes(i.e those hurp durping Martians), but humanity itself is fallible and we do very stupid things (i.e. ethnic cleansing in the Balkans, Rwanda and ISIS).

I want a Malazan Book of the Fallen series of games... Playing as a newly possessed Apsalar and exploring your magical assassin powers sounds generic and action packed enough to work!

I’m a neckbeard basement dweller, and I’ve had friends call me “pasty”. They’re all getting wrinkles and sunspots though, which just makes me more afraid of that deathray machine hanging in the sky.

I went to a restaurant with a similar deal in China, but a perk of being a foreigner was the staff saw a helpless knownothing laowai and they got a waitress to stand by our table THE WHOLE TIME and she cooked all of our meat for us.

None of the other tables had staff grilling their meats, so I was definitely singled

I’m 100% okay with this if the Chef teaches me some techniques and imparts some knowledge that I’m lacking. Right now I’m on the fence about attending cooking school, currently a baker and I’ve gone to school for that so I know just how much a few words of wisdom can change the entire way you think of and prepare

I think Schumer and Bamford appeal to different audiences. Schumer is more low-brow and her humour is definitely of the lowest common denominator, lots of body humour and “lol i’m so drunk” humour (except rare moments where she explicitly shifts into ‘serious business mode’).

Bamford actually makes a point, she shines
