The Avengers is (I think) the 3rd highest grossing film. and its been out on video and is even on Netflix streaming now. Meaning pretty much everyone has seen it.

Far be it from me to tell you what you care about or how much, but I would generally presume that someone who cared that much about the fate of Phil Coulson would probably have watched The Avengers by now. I could be wrong, though.
