When he comes into the chamber and there's a whole bunch of versions of him, all of them trying to make it and failing.

I don't have any books, but I started out on the Nasa site (http://climate.nasa.gov/). While the are pushing the "Liberal" position, the links to the studies are all out there for you to review. I also used the (don't bash me!) Wikipedia page on climate science. It is heavily edited and has a lot of information

This was the point. The crux of the comic book series and what should have taken up a good portion of the second act of the movie. The slow realization of Laurie of who her father is, the emotional aftermath, Dr Manhattan using this moment as proof that human life is not without meaning, that it perhaps has more

It's fun to bash Star Wars, isn't it!!

Not really a weasel phrase. I am an earth scientist(geologist) I can say based on the evidence while the current trend is effected by us it doesn't necessarily mean that without us it wouldn't exist. The rock record shows that we should have had a drastic change in climate over the last 300 years without any human

I know I just linked to a similar movie yesterday - but this was one of the biggest political movies of the time in the US. It was a TV movie, but the entire nation - the entire nation - was talking about it before, during and after. To this day I remember that school in my area hiring psychologists to ome in & talk

Wow. Avatar and you left 'They Live' off?

Just a few nitpicks about what is being said:

A sick person? Good lord, he didn't murder someone or run a dog fighting ring.

Seriously?

Jim, I appreciate your input. I've done my own research, done my own studying, and come to my own conclusions. But that doesn't mean I'm not open to other theories. In the end, everyone is going to believe what they want. Are their alternatives to fossil fuels? Yes. Are they economically viable? Some are, but most

It's fear mongering PV. Fear mongering to further an objective. As I said...I've got a 20 year stack of National Geographics...and there's a "cycle" in those also. And I LOVE that mag. Global cooling...ZOMG! Global warming! ZOMG! Peak oil! ZOMG! Nuclear doom! ZOMG! ICE AGE AHEAD! ZOMG!...the doom and gloom doesn't

...it's okay. I'm used to it. I mean being the hateful, rage filled, bigoted, racist, puppy punching, kitten kicking, polar bear hating, and environmentally ignorant person that I am...

I like open discussion and debate. I always find it interesting where the vitriol and anger gets hurled from first. I think the only thing I haven't been accused of is being on the payroll for the "Koch" bros. or "big oil".

So when I came around to Watchmen, a few years after the initial release, I knew of the influences it had, but it didn't hit me as hard.

To convince me of what? That climate change is happening? It is, I don't deny it. But as a collector of many things...including National Geographics...go through their archive yourself and you'll notice a cycle of environmental apocalypses. Global cooling...ICE AGE AHEAD! Global Warming....WE'RE GOING TO END UP LIKE

But Hitler was historical too!

Not even legacy, they completely ripped from the first movie (or video game, or Family Guy...)

I hope you are prepared for the flood of hate speech you are bound to receive from the "tolerant" and "open-minded" liberals on here.

Before we start going through the "humanity sucks" self flagellation...may I remind everyone that stuff dies every second of everyday and that we aren't the cause of it. (edit: We aren't the cause of all of it.) Global warming (or climate change) is historical and not necessarily a result of humanity.
