"It will be based on the concept art of Ralph McQuarrie"

To even begin to consider how to lay out a level makes me feel, well kinda stupid. However, Pixel Press has my total attention. I come from a line of thinking that embraces analog pencil-to-paper artistry. The prospect of sitting down to design, on graph paper, a level then scanning that same design into a program and

"I wasn't able to grasp what it truly meant until I read several analyses online."

Kubrick and Clarke did minimalism before it was popular. 2001’s visual design is steeped in it.

Great stuff! The Disney Land piece is my favorite.

This may seem like a bit of cop out. The monolith from Space Odyssey films and books. In conversation with 2010 writer/director Peter Hyams, author Arthur C. Clarke likened the monolith to a Swiss Army knife.

Isn’t “misunderstood” the go-to defense for people who harbor bleeding hearts for the psychological plight of bullies? “Sure, he gives the other, smaller kids wedgies, swirlies and broken noses, but it’s because he’s passionate! You don’t get him at all!”

Totally off topic - When did genre take to mean exclusively Sci Fi/Fantasy fiction? By definition genre equals category. Baffling as this congruence is, it’s not a new usage of the word, mind you. Sci-Fi Buzz and other such derivatives circulated genre into their regular on air vernacular when referring to science
