I don't think she has any valid point, like many others do. I could go point for point and refute every little thing because I disagree with her on every basic point - even the premise - but there is no point in this, because I can't argue against an opinion.

This is not criticism - her mind (aswell as mine) are set on this topic. This is a clash of opinions.

Buy what you really like without regrets! (if your financial situation allows it)

You know what, I stopped playing Mario games years ago but a genderswaped version I would play....

Hmm, just don't give her anymore attention. Let it die and keep buying things YOU like, be it as a feminist or whatever. She is just talking, your money is what is making the decision in game design.

Most of the time it's easy to spot the difference and actually sort the anime according to its target demographic. What people define as generic is maybe the popular seinen style of non-action series. But than there is also Beserk and others, it really depends on the genre. There are also comedy anime who use a

What I wanted to say is, the demand is probably different and that is more the reason why you don't see it as much and instead get more big budget shows like Nana or Skip Beat! tageting a female audience instead of things like Free.

It depends, my sister loves things like Kaichou wa maid-sama!, Nana, Ouran High School Host Club and actually doesn't like Free! that much. She is more into romance, of course this is my experience but she didn't complain there wasn't enough to watch.

Sorry than :/

I agree here. It's actually pretty sad and I hope the BRD in Japan will sell. If Free isn't going to be profitable we will see even less big budget anime pandering to girls. But as I said, "not typical" is a little to drastic. There are many shows, almost as much as seinen shows every season.

Their is a huge selection of manga and anime especially targeting girls and women. It's not an individual instance.

Wha? Not typical of anime? It is the first well done moe blob for girls because it's done by Kyoani which really only started 4-5 years ago, also how can you forget Hetalia for example which was as big if not bigger than K-On at it's time? And there are countless others, the last couple of anime season the min. was 2

There is a market for it, therefor it exists. Most shows I like are seinen anime (meaning targeting 18-30 year old males) it is really easy to avoid them if you don't like what they have to offer and they are usually only 10-20% of every season.

That sounds like every other moe show, "you should check it out, it's funny" :). And I like watching moe shows.

Thank you for a great review! (.. and not beating on a dead horse)

Did you ever watch any cartoon ever? That question makes as much sense as asking how she is able to use magic.

I'm strictly against the sexual harassment that you say is happening, but being exploited and "99% get rejected" doesn't really go well together. Again nothing excuses inappropiate behaviour, I'm with you there... but if it's run over with applications, I can't exactly call it the worst job in the world.

I love this game, this is perfect as a party game with your friends after some drinks... the amount of cheering and laughing we had with this.

Why else would otaku culture be built on the objectification of women

Let's wait until we are able to play the game before we guess if boobs were added because it's bad?
