I do miss turning the key in my old car. Cranking it over and feeling the engine rumble to life and shake the car made me feel good. Like “yeah I did that!”. The push button on my new car is far superior from a convenience perspective but is devoid of that little starting ritual that I enjoyed.
Sooooo, now that we have electric motors, why don’t we just get some software devs and program an entire drift routine? Or program a crazy drift assist mode?
Nope. For ICE it should be the overall average of the average WHP of the car at WOT in each non-od gear.
I always get a good chuckle out of seeing destination fees because my two G8s and Chevy SS all came from Australia and had lower destination fees than domestically assembled+shipped vehicles!
The US ain’t got nuthin’ on the Chinese patriarchy! China numba 1.
“Him crashing was not caused by the spike strips, but was caused by him overcorrecting.”
I apologize in advance for my idiocy, but I see drag racing becoming closer to a simplified technical optimization exercise than an “art” with electric cars. Why do they need drivers at all? Drivers add weight and they can’t react faster than a cpu and light sensor can. Etc, etc.
So can they not just go the full monty and establish a rental or leasing company? Then rent or lease it to themselves? Either way its cheaper than 200k or whatever in taxes.
I can’t wait for the electric sports cars to start hitting the market en mass. We’ll eventually have cars in the 50K range that have numbers that best todays 150K ICE. Although losing the charm of EXPLOSIONS ARE MAKING ME MOVE, will be mourned.
Wouldn’t telling people the flu shot IS about them be better? It would seem to me that appealing to the selfish is going to net you a lot more vaccinations than appealing to the selfless.
Seems like some crummy ESC programming if that is “normal mode” or the car is just wildly unstable (by design?) to start with and ESC can’t change physics.
Naaaah. But I’m hugely biased cause I have a Chevy SS with stick and a blower. lol
Hmmm, I was looking for the chewy ones the other day and almost got the Reeses version. Took me a sec cause I was browsing by color pattern. I didn’t get fooled though and I figure if I had a deadly allergy, I would have been a LOT more careful.
Weight reduction is more expensive than horsepower. You crazy.
I’ll be honest. If I had diplomatic immunity i’d be parking anywhere I damn wanted. Perpendicular to the curb to boot.
I hate big trucks. But I need my soon to be supercharged V8 as much as they need their bigness for commuting. Which is to say not at all. Leave em alone.
Bought a G8 GT in 2008, then a G8 GXP (auto), and traded it in on a 16 Chevy SS (stick). Didn’t get bored with any of the cars, just wanted to move to a more exciting version of the platform. I don’t see myself getting bored with the SS ever. I smile every time I get in it.
Are the wheels steel? Must be a reason they’re not using magnets.
Lol. This happened to me. Got shitcanned when just about finished eating. I managed to muster a “not here”, paid, and then drove use both back to the house in silence.
