That's the point of turning your screen off. However, hit the unlock button, and you have access to a host of controls without giving access to any sensitive data? Very clever and very useful.

I think it's very much worth noting that the most aggressive Ravens aggressor got KNOCKED THE FUCK OUT before Chief was outmanned (and outsized) by two of his fellow ruffians. And all this when I thought the AFC East couldn't get any more absurd.
Soooooo.... shame on me for expecting too much? Fair enough, I guess. My beef, though, is that it's still poorly executed. The article starts with some suppostions—the most interesting of which was "This could be Google prioritizing getting ahead in that race over its users' preferences and safety." I think that's…
I don't necessarily disagree with the "reasons not to do this," but your article is comprised of a whoooooooooooole lot of straw-graspin' speculation. The second you wrote the setence "It's hard to understand why Google would embark on such a wrong-headed policy..." you should have shut it down and done some more…
WiiMoteController does this same thing without requiring root, and it's free.
My key ring contains the four most important keys I'll ever need in any situation: Car key and fob, work fob, house key, beer key; all connected to a lobster claw that hooks to my belt loop.
This is superb, thanks!
For what it's worth, the Hangouts feature doesn't exist on ANY mobile G+ app; it's not just exclusive to iOS. I imagine the Telco's have something to say about that. Or, at least, they will.
Yup. Still popular as redneck garden lanterns in eastern Appalachia.
Ugh. Biz speak.
I can't think of a single thing that I could take to lunch in a sealed container that would spoil between the moment I pack it and the moment I want to eat it. Even without ice packs or coolers or whatever. Seriously guys....
Looks to me like "Preview (Dense)" sort of smushes things together a bit more, vertically.
I have a Moleskine-like leather case for my Dell Streak. [accessories.us.dell.com] Has a pocket inside the front cover that I use for my debit card, ID, a couple business cards (just in case), and some cash. Fits nicely into my back pocket just like my wallet would. I've even sat on it a couple times, with nary a…
I suppose it's just preference, and not an absolute, but Exchange on iOS is simply a more elegant experience. On Android, it just feels...kludgy, I guess. Then again, if I never had any experience with iOS, I might think differently, but I do, so there you go.
Fair point, I get that. In which case, having two apps for work and personal email probably isn't so bad. Then again, having two phones is even better.
With all the flexibility that Gmail itself offers for auto-forwarding and sorting of incoming mail, it's amazing that Lifehacker would recommend using ANOTHER app just to check OTHER email.
StrongBad's gonna be pissed when he finds out someone stole his computer.
Alternate scenario:
Hey bro, wanna go catch the game this weekend?
Oh how I needed a good belly laugh today. You get a heart for that one.
