I was thinking this as well.
I was thinking this as well.
the updated star spangled man song was awesome
It’s really amazing how they give Walker these moments where you pause and you’re like, maybe he’s not so bad, maybe he’s just a guy trying to do his best who got caught up in something ugly, but then he’ll say or do just the wrong thing, and it’s like... oh no, he’s the worst. The fact he used the shield to save his…
I really liked how this episode took time to humanise both John Walker and the Flag Smashers.
There’s a neat little callback/homage/something when Bucky asks Walker is he’s ever jumped on a grenade - clearly meaning to reference Steve in boot camp - and Walker says, “Yeah, four of ‘em, with my special helmet.”
He reminded me so much of Tony there with the “lay down on a wire/cut the wire” debate he and Steve…
I was distracted by how good the music was. And I’m not at all sure who all was representing at the rally. It was at Walker’s old high school but that was no high school marching band. If that’s an existing military band I want to know more.
I’m hoping that Taskmaster gets a similar treatment in BW (albeit, maybe making him a bit more legitimately badass - which appears to be the case).
I actually didn’t expect to see Batroc back, but I ain’t gonna argue with seeing the MMA GOAT (or SGOAT, depending on how you feel about Khabib) on my TV again.
Yeah I thought he was a cool character in ‘Winter Soldier.’ I like his fighting style where he uses his legs and does a lot of jump kick attacks. Reminds me of Street Fighter. Lol
Uh hello. You’re forgetting Pierre Despereaux...
Beloved Mother, Beloved Son
Yes! This is exactly how I have been feeling about it. It is so refreshing to feel like they are actually friends instead of just all needing each other. Persona 4 did such a good job with this that I think I got spoiled, so it’s great to finally see the Phantom Thieves hang out and enjoy each others’ company.
It didn’t look like a ruin, more like a plot with some fundaments laid for a house that was not yet built.
It was SO goddamn wrenching. As someone who lost their true love long ago... I just broke apart _watching_ that and couldn’t calm down for while. Hell yes would I do the same as Wanda if I only could!
I don’t agree…
“Grief is love persevering..." is a great line. All of the kudos to whoever specifically wrote that monologue and shout out to Bettany for landing it.
“What is grief, but love persevering?”
Also, seeing the wreckage of Westview was a great nod to the aftermath of the snap. That town got fucked over.
Find someone who looks at you the way Wanda gazed at Vision after he said “what is grief if not love enduring?”
Hell, just that one moment where the bomb hit. Peaceful, loving, happy family tranquility, just curled around the television and watching something wonderful and uplifting...
The lesson is... if Wanda falls to her knees, throws her head back and screams, RUN. It’s about to go down.
