Exactly - Nomura falls into that same creative trap over and over, he can’t help but compromise the setting and tone to pursue some unnecessary flashy meta wankery. All of his projects for more than ten years now undermine themselves by losing sight of the main plot in favour of chasing some half-baked, ham-handed,

it was such a whiplash going from a a rescue mission to suddenly fighting against the embodiment of fate to save the world. Maybe it’s just me, but it felt a little too soon for the stakes to be so high.

This comment is legendary.

Atlus should just release it digitally now for the rest of us.

I’ve actually resolved to skip the FF7 remake. They took one great game and made it into 3, will probably finish the series only on PS5 or something (and I play my ps4 so infrequently I’m probably done with consoles after this gen). It just feels like they’re gonna fluff up a good game with a bunch of unnecessary crap

I’ll agree with you up to a point:

XV had the most emotionally impactful ending sequence for about the first half of that sequence. Without spoiling anything too much, the brotherhood/camaraderie that’s established between the Big Four during the course of the game definitely felt earned (except for that deus ex

X-Men Evolution is the second best X-Men show after the original 90s cartoon. Prove me wrong.

THIS! I tell people to skip the whole first season of Parks and Rec for this exact reason.

Rean is a typical boring bland protagonist, but he’s not actively annoying IMO.

It irritates me how much the game pushes her as the “canon” romance, so it honestly wouldn’t surprise me if dating her was the default world state.

Gah. I want my choices to carry over and wouldn’t mind replaying them, but I really don’t want to pay $100 for two games I already own just so I don’t, say, get stuck in a romance with Alisa.

Persona Q hooked me up so much that I played almost everyday until I finished with more than 100 hours, but I was so pleased with the game that it made me finish Etrian Odissey 4 that I had stopped a long time ago and didn’t had the courage to get back.

It has that grounded modern feel to it and I love every single second of it. I can’t wait to see what the songs they’ll add in The Royal. I love every bit of music Shoji Meguro is behind. I just can’t get enough.

On the one hand, yeah. It is a completely viable strategy, and even professional boxers rely on ‘turtling’ opponents in order to get a win via TKO or beating on an opponent when they’ve exhausted themselves.

That was really one of the best Cap moments he’s had. His whole thing is leadership and courage. I’ve been telling everyone that would listen for YEARS that he needed a moment when everyone was laying in rubble beat to piss and cap would struggle to his feet first, strap the shield to a broken arm, and head back to

My entire theatre erupted when the hammer went to Caps hand. Honestly it was just such a great theatre audience in that one. Everyone was just 100% into it. Cheers everywhere at the perfect moments.

Seriously, Hifumi was smart, clever, and interesting. Why not just put her in?

At first I couldn’t quite get Aria, since I’m so used to the immediate vocalizations. But once they kicked in? YESSSS.

+10 point to the landlady cosplay.

Now playing

I love the art style and music from VIII. Sometimes I just throw on Blue Fields in the background to chill out to. Also this version is amazing:
