My entire theatre erupted when the hammer went to Caps hand. Honestly it was just such a great theatre audience in that one. Everyone was just 100% into it. Cheers everywhere at the perfect moments.

Apparently members of the Eidos team from that time (since it was Eidos who handled the PC port) have said that the source code for the PC port is lost, so it’s not quite as easy to suggest starting from the PC version.

FFVIII is my favorite game in the series. Has one of the best soundtracks and one of the best J-pop looking cast of characters ever!

I regularly put on video game soundtracks while working and FFVIII has been on my playlist for the past few weeks now.  I know I liked it more than FFIX, but I didn’t recall exactly what the plot was until I looked it up.  I need to dust off the PS2 and go replay it. 

I played the 1st game and now the 3rd and I think the story/lore is a bunch of ridiculous shit. I can understand a lot of fans have dedicated a lot of time and love the story, but even they have to realize it is very flawed and messy.

And different weapons for everyone, you could have materia that would act as the potions from the apothecary in Hyrule Warriors.  Hell, you can use Trance as the magic too.  It’s all right there!

Oh my goodness I want that Final Fantasy Warriors game so bad.
