It will open up and give you the freedom to choose who, but it’s a loooooong way in. You also have a little freedom in choosing who to take with you when exploring the haunted house, but yeah that’s limited too.

Yes, fully agreed! While I love Trigger and think it’s the better overall game, the musical experience of Cross hits me way harder, and I think the music is just somehow even better!

Random is annoying when you’re going for specific cards, but it’s so much fun when Plus and Same are in play! It really makes you stop and think a little bit, and making a comeback is so satisfying.

Same! I love how fleshed out the card game is in the world, like it’s a real hobby that people play. (Apart from the character specific cards, like who would even think to make them, and how did they? Who invented this game within the world of VIII??? And-)
