That’s a fair point. The beta just included 4 cutscenes that you unlocked by completing fights (loot boxes were just for avatars, music, and costumes) in the “arcade mode”. Definitely a step down from the original where you actually controlled a character around and got into fights (though the story itself was mad

As long as we can all agree to shun the balloon-like ones from Kingdom Hearts or FFXIII, I think we’ll be okay, haha

You got new HP attacks, but could still only equip just 1 for a battle, and you got more EX skills, but those aren’t really unique to each character

It would make balancing way less of a headache, haha

Based on the open beta I’ve been playing, there seems to be a story mode, though if it’s like the last one, it will probably be a ridiculous mess. And at least there seems to be a way to win loot box draws in-game, as I’ve pulled music and costumes (but can’t use them because it’s the beta)

I am always here for a Final Fantasy crossover RPG! The Brothers! A FF VIII chocobo! All it needs is an FF IX moogle (the best moogles)

Jemma says “Allons-y!” confirming her choice of Doctor, so I was right all along to think she was my favorite

They’ve been so zetta slow about making this happen!

Of course one of the movies was Trolls

Well now’s a great time to do it :)

Mustang Optic Blast!

Well said, they show strikes (heh) a very fine balance between emotion and action, while also being very silly but still saying something very profound about humanity

Lucky! Here in North America, we also only had the first 4, and missed the end. I haven’t checked to see if it was added, but I know the whole thing was taken away a few months ago. Oh well, it’s all on Prime now!

It’s from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood!

On double pay walls: kill them all with fire

That’s pretty funny, haha! Each game in the series does a pretty good job of hammering home the morals and themes then puts you in the shoes of the characters and makes you question yourself

Arbitrary in how you’re allowed to social link with the girls but not the guys.

I know, which is what I meant by “corrected in Persona 3 Portable.”

Evokers were certainly the most effective at tying the theme of the game to its design, with the characters’ power directly tied to their ability to literally look death in the eyes and move forward. It says a lot about each character with a simple arm motion and head turn, which is pretty great.

I appreciated the symbolism and importance they placed on the 3 transfer students: There was Ryoji, the avatar of death; Aigis, a new life learning what it means to be alive; and your character, the embodiment of living with death.
