That transmutation effect looks neat, but I miss the signature flash of light and hollow clapping sounds. Those are pretty up there with the iconic elements of the anime!

My issue with the Final Fantasy VII Compilation is that it’s way too obvious that a lot more effort was put into being stylish and cool instead of making the newer story elements mesh with the existing world in the original VII. Basically a master class in how not to do world building.

I’ve been opposed to the recent iteration of the game from the start due to missing characters, but they’ve taken it a step to far with removing parts from even the few characters they included!

How’s the character creator? I found the one in the first game to be kind of a letdown, especially trying to make characters with a robust power set. At least there was playable Stan Lee with the coolest powers

Oh good, a quieter month so I can now catch up on all the other free stuff they gave out over the past few months (Just Cause 3, Metal Gear Solid V, Tales from the Borderlands, Amnesia Collection, etc.)

All that was missing during Barry’s pep talk to him was a, “Now stretch, Ralph. Stretch!”

I had thought that this game could not be more gorgeous, then they dropped that demo yesterday, and Wander emerged from the trees, I realized I was dead wrong.

That forest in the beginning of the Shadow of the Colossus demo they showed was so frigging gorgeous I couldn’t believe it was from that game until I saw the character moving around. I’m going to buy this again aren’t I?
