Really? Does it really matter what kind of controller was used? The controller had almost nothing to do with this story. The kid’s rage at not being able to play his video game, however, has everything to do with the story.

Fuck yes! I love Duolingo soooooo much. I’m not going to pretend that I’ll ever be 100% fluent in another language because of it, but I have a pretty firm grasp of basic words, conjugation, syntax, and sentence structure of, like, a dozen languages now. I spend at least 10-20 minutes on Duolingo every single day.

An edit: “Their Mom and Dad wrote ‘Let It Go’!”

Let It Go is wonderful, just severely severely overplayed. Like all of Frozen. I’m so sick of all of it despite really loving the film, the characters, and the music.

Let It Go was an awesome song. The first time I listened to it I was very impressed.

I feel like male actors get to make a LOT more than 2 critically meh/financially unsuccessful movies before people start questioning whether their careers are over or ruined. Especially if that actor’s resume includes being the lead in a successful franchise and an Oscar win (among three other nominations). Jennifer

Hey congrats on film school! They probably have you watching all kinds of stuff, it could turn into overload? I don’t think MP entirely holds up except in the realm as a 60's Disney film, but still seeing it via repetitive self chosen scenes isn’t fair for any movie, no matter what the genre. Thanks for listening...

I loved Coco so much, when I was watching it I got all teary at the moment the little boy arrives to the underworld and all those pretty colours show, the tears never stopped, even when the credits rolled.

My brother uses this argument against the new Star Wars movies and the Transformers movies. He says they are ruining his childhood. No. Your childhood already happened, those memories are set in stone they cannot be altered. If you choose to think poorly of something that happened in your childhood because of

Oh, I’ll definitely get around to watching it at some point. But I’m in film school now and I have a list of about a thousand movies to watch, and Mary Poppins is pretty far down the list.

Your childhood can’t be destroyed. It already happened. If this movie is a dud, you can still watch the original Mary Poppins and enjoy it for what it was.

But we’ll find out if Disney destroyed the childhoods of legions of OG Poppins fans soon enough

There’s also wheelchair curling during the Paralympics . . .

I’ve had a similar experience, for about a block (it was “hey, faggots” in my case, as I was walking with my then-bf). Bunch of frat-type bros. We were terrified, imagining ourselves being beaten with baseball bats if they were to stop, and we just looked straight ahead. We were relieved when they finally sped away

He said, “these people,” therefore his apology is invalid and also full of sad excuses.

A classic example of being sorry only when you’re caught. He isn’t a damn bit sorry for what he did, he’s “sorry” because he could get time in jail and the couple - if they were so inclined - have an excellent shot at winning any lawsuit against him if they choose to do that.

Sorrell is accused of driving next to the couple for more than 20 blocks (seriously, that shit is frightening)

Yes, this is a really important point. As common as it is for adult children to kick in and figure much of this stuff out, you also don’t want to rely on that. So this is relevant info for parents, too.

Even if you have children, do them a favor and plan for your own needs. We are living longer than ever, do you really want to saddle yourself to your children for, potentially, decades? Limiting what they can do with their lives, because they have to stay near you or devote time to your daily care?
