I guess they'll only bother to explain that if it becomes a plot device. Right now we know Eric, Pam and Nora can/could fly and they know we know they're related. They could establish the genetic explanation if other pairs of makers/progeny shared special abilities.

I don't why so many ppl are complaining about the length of Terry's funeral. Yeah, it was half of the episode, but time wise, since things were happening at the same time (funeral and action at Vamp Camp), we only saw 1 hour (maybe just 30-45 minutes) of that day which is okay when it comes to the length of a funeral.…
