My debit card has been chip and pin for the past few months, and I was notified by Citi last week that my card (along with tons of others, obviously) had been skimmed and that they would have to cancel it and reissue another one.

I was actually thinking that it would be more dramatically ironic if Rickon used some good ol’ Stark warging to have Ramsey killed by one of his own hounds.
Lots of reasons, probably. It looks “edgier” and more “high-tech,” I guess. Another would be that that articulated armor looks more pragmatic than spandex from a “we’re going to be physically fighting monsters” perspective.
So....the bastard children of Iron Man and RoboCop, then...
Camp Nowhere was basically revisited in 2006 with Accepted. Both were more watchable than they had any right to be...
And with that comment, Quiksilver immediately went from being the least horrendous in my mind to being the most horrendous. Thank you, sir. You’re truly doing the Lord’s work.
Yikes. None of them look great, but that interpretation of Nightcrawler’s classic costume is a hot mess. But seriously, most of these suits like they were hurriedly cobbled together from leftover scraps from presumably better costumes.
I live in NYC, and bullshit like this is why I never use Uber.* Arro does the exact same thing, but the app calls an actual yellow cab (at least moderately less sketchy in my book), and there’s no surge pricing doubling or tripling the price of the ride because it happens to be drizzling outside.
Maybe it’s the rape, or the violence, or how it’s really boring. Everyone seems to have an opinion about why Game of Thrones, once a mesmerizing fantasy land that darkly mirrored modern day dilemmas, has become near unwatchable.
It probably takes way less time to learn to actually do it, but more time to make absolutely certain that the person who was trained never, ever, ever fucks it up even once.
At first blush, it seems like a weird choice to cast someone to play a character whose physical description looks nothing like him (not that they’ve been letting that stop them) and doesn’t appear until almost the very end of the series.
Ugh, that still from X-Men Apocalypse has me dreading this one. Storm’s mohawk wig is distractingly fake-looking, and I can’t even see Apocalypse anymore without thinking about how he looks exactly like Ivan Ooze from the 1995 Power Rangers movie.
It actually took me a while to realize what that was and recognize it as Liefeld’s work, because it wasn’t surrounded by fifty other identical ones...
And as someone who just bought one, I am fully in favor of them not rolling out a new one a month after I dropped money on the first gen model.

Is there any word on when the next generation of Amazon Echo is going to be unveiled? I know that it was only released a little under a year ago, and there’s probably not a lot about the current hardware that needs to be upgraded, but I’m curious as to what the next version will bring. I’ve seen literally no news…

This by Tinrocket takes a more minimalist approach.
It kind of reminds me of an interesting Captain Marvel comic from awhile back, when he was bonded to Rick Jones and trying to be everywhere at once because his “cosmic awareness” made him constantly cognizant of people who needed his help all over the universe. If I recall correctly, it more or less caused him to…
Yeah, many, many parts of Europe are...um..like that. America’s obviously got its own fair share of issues with rape culture, but almost every account I’ve ever heard from young women who have traveled through or lived in Europe by themselves or with other girls makes it sound as though they had to deflect sexual…
Jesus, Rick Leonardi... I loved his work on that one random Excalibur issue in 1990, and I dug his run on Spider-Man 2099, but I haven’t thought about him in freaking years...
I was truthfully not aware of that bit (because I just don’t care for Steve Martin’s schtick), but I’m not surprised that I’m not the first to draw the analogy.
