Agreed, that was my point.  It’s pretty hard to buy/sell a car without transferring the title, but plenty of gaps where a car can get repaired from a collision and not get reported to CarFax.

Nice info, thx.  So broadly CarFax only sees the reassignments so the various dealers don’t count as owners.  I’ve seen CarFax get mixed up when the title transfers from the lender to the owner on payoff, sometimes that gets counted as two owners, when the market would really consider that a 1-owner vehicle.

Yes I’m going to agree, if you get past the power symbol, and think of it as a pointer to the volume level that the unit will turn on at, maybe that settles the obsessiveness?  Of course if the steering wheel buttons override all that, we’re back to square one.

The vehicle registration / title information is very reliable, there are not very many cars being bought/sold/driven without being registered with a state.

Oh boy, let’s get a bit more specific here and answer the question properly.

Doesn’t matter how great the brakes are, less rubber on the road is going to make it harder to stop.  Where brake size / performance really matters is for repeated braking performance, for cooling and preventing fade.

Yes, I saw that too, too bad the article doubled-down on the mistake.

1) the Caddy is hideous, I agree the lincoln is not.

I’m going to agree. I really don’t like much of anything that Mercedes produces, but this car got a double-take from me the first time I saw one at the shopping mall. Interesting enough that I took a walk around it.

You nailed my unsaid point: if anything, I suspect more schmucks are driving around with their mirrors adjusted in a way that makes backing easier, but are useless for blind spot elimination in normal transit.

Assuming you know how to use your side mirrors.

...Buddy...I have news for you. Its the same [assuming you’re driving at a speed no wheels break traction as in during parking].

It leaves the Taycan Turbo, on paper, as one of the most expensive, lowest-range electric vehicles on the market with performance that’s still slightly behind Tesla’s top performer.

Did they fix the second row? The only way these monsters are relevant to me is in my role as an Uber Black rider. The Suburban is a complete pain in the a** to exit.  From the second row there is about an 8" gap to slide my size 13 feet out of the vehicle.  For a vehicle that big, I shouldn’t have to do gymnastics to

My guess is no. Once cruising, added weight doesn’t have much effect on efficiency.

Interesting. What do you like better about it? I think the front view of the Aston is much more elegant. I’m not a huge fan of the ‘flying fender’ or whatever they call that gash of a vent from the front wheel to the door on the side of the Aston. The rear view is nearly identical for me, the lights are very different

I was thinking DB-11 myself.

Or a simpler answer - maybe the wife just reported a lower income than the husband listed when they both applied. Once you are approved, the credit limit is in large determined by your income relative to debt, not your credit score.  Willing to bet if they both had listed the same income, they would have gotten the

It would be great if people learned how credit scores work before spouting off about sexism.  You can have an 800 credit score with $10K of credit line and $40K of income.  Or an 800 credit score with $300K of credit lines and $1M+ of income.  You aren’t going to get the same credit limit...
