I don’t have any issues with download speeds, but rather bandwidth caps. As long as ISPs want to artificially limit how much internet we get I can’t see physical media going away. Especially with game sizes ballooning to the hundreds of gigabytes. 

that’s not the same thing and you know it. we replaced cassette tapes with CDs and VHS tapes with DVDs. replacing one physical media for another. DVDs, Blu-rays, CDs, and even vinyl records still exist. we never got rid of them.

The long trailer said that ranked battles will be exclusive to sword/shield and are not coming to pearl/diamond/arceus. the pearl/diamond trailer included online components in the trailer while arceus didn’t mention
