Interesting. Everyone has an opinion, but man, I completely disagree with yours. Lol. 

Man I remember all the bot mods for BF2 and how easy it was just rewrite the .ini files and just have teams of 50 vs 50 bots have at it (I forgot what the cap on team sizes was because at some point the AI would stop working if there were too many bots).

Just to get ahead of this now because I’m still seeing comments along these lines: please keep your expectations in check about any new Switch hardware announcements.

It was a scam, pretty much. It got around latency by just not bothering to be in sync at all.

I mean... they can have games that feature political turmoil from the characters and setting, without trying to make some sort of grand political statement about the real world.

But I guess that kind of nuance is a bit difficult for some of the contributors around here, who would rather just post reactionary news…

So, if I’m reading this right, someone complained about him being a dick, and the company that he helped bring fame, notoriety and massive amounts of money to was all “We investigated and found nothing, you’re cool bro. High five”.

I’m really not a fan of rampages. I get that they wanted to introduce some new flavor to the mix but this feels like a case of if it aint broke don’t fix it. So I’m really glad Apex Monsters are available outside of them. I was almost mad when the first footage of all of them is in a rampage.

I’m even willing to give Sony a pass on PS3 games on PS5 for now, since the whole Cell thing complicates matters. But a potato can emulate PS1 at this point, there is ZERO reason they couldn’t just run that from a PS1 disc put into it. And PS2 isn’t so hard to emulate anymore either.

That’s one way to spin a negative.

In the era of licensed game engines and middleware or even internal game engines that are still in use, I doubt they could release the source code and tools since the licenses would disallow that, or in the case of internal engines, it would be a trade secret. If they did, it would be gutted of all proprietary APIs…
