God you people are stupid, yes Facebook does use JAVA APLETS for some (very little but some) stuff, it was simply one example but many sites still use them!

That sucks, I don't think people realize how much of the web actually runs on Java. This could be pretty frustrating for a lot of people. Hell even Facebook uses Java for some things like photo downloads and certain menus.

I think the problem is more with the fact that pieces are falling of their 2 billion dollar robot.

I dont presume thats the case, I was simply stating that none of us know exactly what the case is so its better if we forgo judgement until we know more.

For now I'd like to have the option to use Flash, but I can see why companies like Microsoft and Apple are pushing for other alternatives like HTML5 which are far more stable and secure than Flash has ever been.

Well this is a 5" inch display so you have to account for the change in size.
