No, you pay $60 for a big AAA game based on a very famous IP that has a full single-player story mode that has fully voice acted cinematics. You also get a multiplayer mode to play through with your friends, and will get FREE updates with brand new characters as they come out.
I remember when I was reading 52, there was a brief moment where I paused and thought to myself, wait, is Steel the best thing that came out of Reign of the Supermen? How did that happen?
Take it easy, Satan.
I’ve never nor will I ever play Eve Online, but I absolutely love it. I read articles about it, watch videos explaining what it’s about and what’s happening, all with a childlike glee that one would expect from a 2yo if you read him a Jack Kerouac novel: I have no idea what is going on, and most the words make no…
Now THIS is the type of article I come to Kotaku for!
The entire right-wing of our nation has become an actual death cult.
Gotta go fast!
Amazing they even need a roadmap for a game which was supposed to come out ~4 YEARS ago. I mean... How much more can be left to create for a game which is already four years late?
Not quite...you see the software they were using to visualize and track their roadmap for updates to their primary goals was sunsetted and now they have to do some ad hoc re-visualization of their timeline and post their status in a going-forward manner, because now they will need to be extra-agile in their…
Just wait until they start a Kickstarter for the damn *roadmap*
HEY.
I already made the Spaceballs reference during the announcement teaser. Back o’ the line, pal.
:-p
It feels like they are just doing this bullshit on purpose now lol.
Insert Yo Dawg meme...
How are you supposed to have an effective meeting if you don’t have a meeting to come up with an outline for the agenda?
More like a roadmap to a roadmap for the roadmap.
basically it was a license slapped on what would have been an original property about a dinosaur planet, so its not that impressive, rather depressing that they didnt have enough faith in the new i.p and had to put a character not known for ground based melee combat and put him in there. The game was actually pretty…
Kotaku is one of the few gaming websites that does actual journalism. It always surprises me at how much the internet seems to hate Kotaku when they’re more often than not gaming journalism at its best. Other sites like IGN and Gamespot usually wouldn’t dare attempt anything like this until they see other websites…
Kotaku has always had good writing like this. The problem is the people complaining about Kotaku never actually read Kotaku outside of the social justice pieces they hate so much because that’s all that ever gets linked in places like /r/KotakuInAction, so that’s all they ever see.
I played STW for a long time, was one of the first to beat Storm King (with pin to prove it!) but took a break since. The game was really fun and had a lot of promise, it’s a shame BR basically killed it by being more popular but what can you do? I was hoping to go back one day when they finished the storyline but now…
