This entire chart seems silly, because there’s a lot of apple-and-orange juxtaposition going on. But that’s what happens when you throw a bunch of bullet points from a bunch of cluelessly-overpopulated buzzword-bingo job postings at a machine.

Boy, it feels like just yesterday I was saying Valve needs to stop adding more problem features...
For the last couple of years Steam’s store pages have just been amassing more shit that just adds noise and doesn’t actually help gamers. One of these years they need to realize that less is more, and start removing bullshit rather than creating more problems.
I’ll be playing CLANNAD at long last, at least if it comes out this month as Sekai Project has seemed to suggest should be the case.
There’s a difference between “not perfect”, which is understandable, and “broken as shit because we totally phoned in the PC port”, which is what this game experienced.
I never really got into Quake Live enough to understand what it lent over the original Q3A/Q3TA anyway. I already paid for those. They already work. What’s the point of Quake Live - especially now that you have to pay for it as well?
I don’t know, if they decide to retry the Steam Controller a couple of times, I’ll be conflicted, since one of the things its fans repeatedly ask for is for Valve to learn how to fucking count to 3.
I was hoping this would teach me how to politely tell people that they have no idea what they’re doing.
Oh god Synapse. Yes, I never install that garbage on principle. Really, I need to log in and sync my settings to some cloud service just to use the drivers? Sod off.
I certainly balked when Fahey said he uses one of their gamepads. I tried the Onza and returned it - it felt like a cheap piece of crap compared to regular X360 gamepads.
Precisely my thoughts. I mean, hell, the article even goes on to say “sites creating super lightweight equivalents of their current sites so you don’t have the suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous load times”. Um, guys, how about JUST DOING THIS to begin with?
^ I would be heavily tempted to add “unless you’re a software developer” to this, but I’m wondering what others think.
I hope they realize how ironic and pointless adding video uploads is.
The silver lining I get from this is that apparently voice actors have to put up with similar bullshit to what I have to put up with sifting through “full-stack developer” and “web developer-but-actually-a-designer” position postings in my field.
It’s a hard choice, and it depends on the specifics of the stress or boredom. In software development, if a job is boring but gives me time on my hands, then I can occupy myself learning new stuff and keeping on top of modern developments, which is something that a hectic/stressful job doesn’t necessarily afford me…
With a headline like that, I was hoping the header graphic was going to show a bunch of Apple products. Missed opportunity.
Maybe if it’s such a “boring ass game” this guy should go out and get a life, rather than make the lives of others miserable who would actually otherwise enjoy the game. What a concept.
Honestly my main issue is that people on XP by definition have IE8 at most (if they’re using IE), which is a major thorn in my side as a Web developer. The support-EOL-and-thus-no-more-security-patches argument that Stane brings up is also valid, but to me that’s Somebody Else’s Funeral if they really want to stay on…
I installed it through the Get Win10 app, so yes, the “final” version. I didn’t see anything like broken login pictures or wifi, but it seems that there are some driver issues between Win10 and the Pro 2 which cause the driver system to constantly hog 50% CPU and thus flush your battery life down the toilet, which was…
I agree that this alternative doesn’t seem like any sort of improvement over “surprised/confused/curious”.
