I'm going to say my Esprit.
I'm going to say my Esprit.
Yeah, history is always looked at in a distorted way. Muscle cars are awesome. An SRT-4 will never catch up, but it is 40 years younger.
Still though a stock SRT-4 Neon can pound out 1/4 mile times the place it right in the musclecar fight 40 years ago. But what make cars worth money is memory. I think the SRT-4 has…
HAha, let's wait the 30 years.
You can eat your words in 30 years. It will happen.
It is a good comparison. Musclecars tended to be cheap cars with big power, just what the SRT-4 Neon was. 99 Civic Si and the Integra Types R are future classics. A good Type R is already worth more than it was new. I think the same will happen to the 99 SI.
It may seem daft, but do you know why those big block cars…
Really disagree with you on the SRT-4 not being a future classic. In 20-30 years a decent stock SRT-4 will be worth more than twice as much as they were new. Just watch.
A lot of folks had them and most of them have been used up, but made good memories in the process. Once those SRT-4 driving kids make money, they'll…
I've driven them a couple of times. Both SC and Turbo. They bring some neat stuff to the table. but I think they strike out on steering feel and weight. To me they felt heavy and tall even though they sit reasonably low. Perhaps both the heavy and tall feeling was based on the steering, which I remember standing out…
Pretty sure the VW R32 was AWD. Was there some other R32 you are thinking of?
There was a large discussion about the C3 and C4 a few days ago. I love the C3, but I think it is one of the most useless designs.
Yeah they is the big worry about a car this is basicly another car, but with different skin. You know that the popularity of the mechanical part will mean it will be serviceable for a long time. But will the non-mechanical? I assume that the glass is the same, but sheetmetal and other body bits aren't. If I recall…
Sounds like a steal was made since the Mercury brand has died. Good purchase.
I think the Milan was a pretty good buy. The worst thing about the first gen Fusion was the the best thing about the Milan.
I looked hard at the Fusion, but the loadout I wanted would have been $27K. Here is the deleima. You buy a $27K Fusion. At the time every ad on the the TV and radio was asking people to come down…
Amazing to see one in action. I have seen plenty of stills. But never seen it moving and making noise.
Speaking of the noise it is pretty, how should I put this, crap. I would have expected a bit more to it. The engine note is nothing special at all, it is Gran Torismo 5 flat, the shifts sound slow and utilitarian…
Sorry should say "didn't buy"
I saw the Zephyr show car and told the Mercury person there that if they built it just like that I'd buy it. I did buy the one they ended up making. It wasn't special enough for the price. Great car if you ever wanted to pay twice as much for a Fusion; Which is a great car, just not worth twice as much.
Interesting…
But it will only land in a former USSR friendly airport; Automated landing system.

Electric cars are less fun, this one is a gas.
Sure Fish is an ass. Beer is an ass and a bully. But Fish made something. Why the hell does Beer think Phil owes anyone anything.
Oh noes!!!! Phil didn't respond to a request from the press. Who cares.
If Fish wanted to share his thoughts he can do so, if he wants to hold his tongue, he has that right too. Marcus…
The Z51 package was pretty good for a few years, then folks complain it was too hard and they softened it up. Really most Corvettes of the time were auto and bought by people who really didn't know what to do with a sportscar.
