You could just get the “EA” plates.
There’s also the newer Expanded-Use Antique plate in IL which is a compromise. Only $51/year for registration and you can drive it any time April through Oct. From Nov - Mar it has the regular “AV” plate restrictions.

It’s not like you’re out in the middle of nowhere. When it snows, it gets plowed. Most of the problems driving in the snow will be the other drivers on the road. All you need are some decent snow tires and allow more time to get to your destination.
My issue is this... Why would I buy a V6 Jaguar over a Corvette Stingray?
