Exactly. I get over 28MPG highway in my C5. 75MPH isn't even at 2000RPM with the 6-speed manual. Driving to work and back i get around 23MPG which is right on par with my 2011 9-5 Turbo4.

Yes, they're durable! The "Maytag" of cars. Although I had a 740 GLE 16v which was fairly high maintenance, it was still a great car. One of the best matched powertrains of any automatic-transmission equipped car i've driven.
But if Cadillac does it wrong, then it could become a laughingstock, setting the brand back years. Remember the Cadillac XLR? Based on the C5 Corvette platform, the XLR couldn't quite compete with Mercedes SL, and Caddy quit production in 2009, at the height of the recession.
As TechCrunch reports, 85kWh (as opposed to the lower-spec 60kWh) Model S owners already started with a 4-year, 50,000 mile limited drive unit warranty and had the option of extending to 8 years and 100,000 miles for $4000.
This is exactly one of the reasons I got a deal on my C5 Corvette. Stock (almost) always gets the higher price. Mine had fairly irreversible modifications. Fortunate for me, they were things I would've done myself anyway.
