I suffer from claustrophobia as well. I’ve done the strapped-into-a-car thing and found the WORST thing is not having something to do. Make yourself focus on doing something, whether it’s a checklist, memorizing switch placement, thinking through strategy - an idle mind is open to all phobias. A busy mind forces you

As an E39 owner, as well, you should probably mainly be concerned about window regulators and the cooling system.

Now playing

Rob Dahm on youtube is (re)building a 12 rotor. It has three rows of four rotors and is about the same footprint as a small block Chevy. I don’t think he’s lit it off yet, but the build is amazing.

I think you are conflating absolute pressure to guage pressure. Guage pressure is always related to atmosfer pressure (IE 1 bar guage pressure is 2 bar absolute pressure). Meaning saying that the vessel requires 1 bar of preassure is not incorrect though saying it requires 1 barg or 2 bara. Infact in almost all

Yeah, I saw this and thought to myself “the hell?”

After a lot of buffing I got more of a Satin out of it. But lots cheaper than new paint.

Wet Sand and a case of 2X Clear rattle can with a respirator will bring that paint back to satin

Oh hell no, don’t you try and drag us into this shit.

Someone’s gotta be the smart ass, right?

Meeting adjourned.

Just checked in to make sure this was at the top of the list.

Come on now...

Well...certainly not if I buy it.

This is old-style jalopnik catnip, right?

NP.

They’ll come down to 5k and that is definitely a NP for a Volvo - although I did have a late 70s model that no one knew how to work on back in the olden days. Pretty sure that’s not an issue now. It was rear-ended, tragically.

Saw the picture and was like “Now we’re talking!” Nice enough to drive while you work to shave some of the warts off, but not so nice that you’d hesitate turning it into a battle/safari wagon, or pulling out the guts and doing something interesting if the B230 starts going south. It’s even the right color of baby puke

I had this almost exact car for a brief shining moment, except mine was blue and was pretty rusty underneath. Another tried and failed project car, with a good set of snow tires it was the most fun I’ve had with a car in the snow, and that includes my G8. This thing was perfect for Scandi flicks on back road.

Splush?
