I think that is what the software engineers are missing. Effectively when humans drive we predict the future. We subconsciously pick up small cues that software just can’t seem to do.

I was an 11-year-old kid at my second Indy 500, seated right on the front straight for that. Very memorable. What was even better was going home later that day and rewinding the VCR to watch it again! Mario’s comment was awesome.
I may be biased, as it’s the first race I ever saw in person, but what a finish!
In the 70's when the King was king, I used to love watching each race, but this was beyond classic Pierson/Petty dueling with a crash literally at the last turn and you can see Petty scrambling to getter in gear to get the car over the finish line. Edge of your seat racing in the NASCAR years.
Villeneuve and Arnoux at Dijon (not Darmok and Jelad at Tenagra), 1979. I was already a 13-year-old superfan of Gilles, and if this wouldn’t seal the deal I don’t know what would.
TV: Dale Earnhardt wins the Daytona 500 after 20 attempts. I loved Nascar back then and wasn’t a fan of Earnhardt. Then when he won Dayota, the team members of EVERY team and all the drivers came and got in a line to high 5 him. That’s when I realized although he might be the toughest SOB on the track, he was one of…
CART at Laguna Seca, 1996 - Alex Zanardi overtakes Bryan Herta at the corkscrew on the final lap of the final race of the season, in what has come to be known as just “The Pass”:
Got a Debris flag and saw and avoided a Turtle in the middle of turn 3 at Brainerd on my Yamaha
So easy: the 1985 Indy 500 when Danny Sullivan did the “Spin and Win”:
Maybe it could be a contender for some obscure carburetor powered FWD class in Bonneville salt flats?
It’s like a porn star who won’t do sex scenes. What’s the point?
Porsche 917/30 Can-Am’s 5.4L V12, it was so good it killed the sport.
Just a correction. The car is in New Caanan not Caanan Ct. They are no where near each other. New Caanan is about 30 miles from NYC. I work for the pd in the next town over and hopefully the seller will let me drive it. I think it’s the same guy I bought a Plymouth Satellite from about 8 years ago.
Nice! I also read it this year. Very good. Really miss Matchett and Hobbes as commentators for F1!
My mom bought one of these new, a black AP1. She wasn’t really interested in performance, she just wanted a “cute” manual convertible. She drove it around like an old lady. I drove it a few times, once when she was sitting beside me. I wound it out to 9,000 rpm. She was like “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!” I said Mom, it’s su…
To get rid of the bacteria, you need a fuel-bacteria-eating fish, but then you have a fish eating your fuel, so you need something to fix that.
She’d have hit the spot if they programmed it to go to “India.”
But is that for an African or a European Swallow?
Driver failed to check tires with Digital gauge after they stole it.
“Triggered”?
