Sadly, there is no technology that is idiot proof.

2.3 seconds!

Dude got tired of running... just flat gave up.

You assume drivers vehicle operators are actually looking beyond their hood ornament. (google it, kids)

Hanging from CROAKIES. So cool! Very modern look. I told you I’m a slave to practicality and yet even I wouldn’t dare to wear Croakies...

I live in a North Orange County, CA.

Problem is you could get a used leaf for not much more.

Here’s another link I came across in that 5000+ post ET airliner down thread.

Is that a yes?

I thought the purpose of MCAS was to help make sure the max kept the same type designation as previous 737's.

I know Id be flat on my back after lugging a hundred wheels.

Im huffing and puffing just thinking about humping a hundred wheels and tires into the back of a truck.

What damage? <snerk>

I was watching NASCAR back when it became the Winston Cup.

Anyway, I want to see if I understand your meaning. Are you saying that (during these failures) the MCAS system trims the plane into a nosedive?

So why doesn’t HAL simply check left and move over?

Absolutely.

Now playing

737 are 60 year old cable and pulleys control technology. It can’t ignore stick input because the stick is directly connected to the control surfaces.

MCAS isn’t there to compensate for a bad design.
