lol as a fellow IBS’er, that drink that everybody complains is the worst thing in the world? Pfft...... gave me a whole new perspective on the things people with normal guts DON’T experience.

Going to agree and emphasize here. The worst thing about a colonoscopy (for me) is not eating anything the day before. Procedure is a snap.
Brave to go with that first line. I did as well, then deleted. :)
God DAMMIT, Australians. What in your country ISN’T trying to kill you?
Totally. I remember all the times I felt really sick and stayed home from work. Felt really bad, worse than a normal cold, assumed (and told people) I had the flu.
This is assuming that the parents are reasonable and respectful people who are willing and able to talk about their views and opposing views in such a way that is constructive. If not, not even their kids are going to be able to get them to listen.
Although not quite as extreme, this was my childhood as well. However, and I don’t know if this was physical or mental, as I got older I would get attacked but wouldn’t feel the itchiness anymore, and the swelling seemed to be much less. Do you find the physical symptoms have lessened for you?
It’s not really an expectation - the people who are ignorant generally don’t know they’re ignorant and therefore have no expectation of being educated. That said, if they’re NOT challenged proactively, they’ll just continue being ignorant.
Totally agreed. I don’t think it’s right to condemn people for what they don’t know or haven’t experienced. However, I DO think it’s right to condemn people if they believe that, since they don’t know it or haven’t experienced it, it doesn’t exist. Open-mindedness and listening is the goal.
Holy fucking shit. That is a horrifying experience. I’m sorry that happened to you - kudos for handling yourself and keeping your head. I really hope people finally wake up to the imbalance everywhere.
There’s so much in here. You’re dead-on, it needs to be addressed with kids. And also adults... like you said:
So... why did she give up the dog?
Let me guess - you don’t have kids.
Just change the scale from “logarithmic” to “linear”. Boom.
Potentially clueless question - what’s the deal with everybody wanting to be tested? Unless you’re in a high-risk group and may need some proactive care, you’re going to feel really crappy (or maybe not) for a while and will get better. Why does it matter whether or not you have the flu or you have COVID-19? I…
.... but she does..... first line, third paragraph.
if you’re a Millennial-aged investor (like me, I’m 38)
Those immigrants need to come from somewhere. If everybody is not having kids, we have an issue.
When I was on shift for my second baby, I’d put my first to bed, then lie on the couch with my legs together, knees up, and #2 propped up on my lap. Nice and secure, remotes and controllers in reach. When she’d need a bottle, I’d pop one in her mouth, and have a show on tv. Then she’d fall asleep when done, and I’d…
