Han and Lando in the morning!

Oh yeah! It’s great. The company couldn’t pay experienced directors so they’d hire these young and ambitious guys. If they were making a movie, they’d lay out the ground rules. You needed nudity every so often, violence was a plus, the pictures had to be cheap genre movies and so you wound up with bananas art house

I’m a bit of a fan of 60s and 70s Japanese genre movies. You just get there, eventually. But if you’re actually interested in this sort of thing, there’s a really great book called Eros In Hell that’s all about how fucked up the Japanese movie industry is/was.

Fun fact: The production company, Nikkatsu, made a name for itself in Japan in the 60's and 70's making fucking bonkers soft pornos called Pink Film and Roman Porno.

Man. For the longest time I had nothing but the utmost respect for Charles Band. His Full Moon stuff these days is utter fucking garbage but there was a period from the mid-80's to the mid-90's where Empire and Full Moon were unstoppable and even though their movies were straight cheese... man, did Band’s productions

There is only one answer: Hobie Brown.

I hate when people leap to this conclusion. A battery of supplements, a trainer and a nutritionist can get anyone to this point in three months.

I get a lot of mileage out of it.

Still have kinda high hopes for this Nightcrawler. I’m a fan, you see.

The scanner says that his shame levels are OVER 9,000!!!!!

I had the same exact reaction but had to chill. I was all, “Hold up, fam. I know you’re all pretty young but Suicide Squad isn’t exactly breaking new ground over there.”

Especially seeing as how Jedi was George Lucas nodding to Jidaigeki, a type of Japanese period drama that usually featured Samurai.

I usually ignore these exhaustive trailer breakdown articles but seriously, you guys, I might be more excited for Rogue One than I was for Force Awakens (read: A SHITLOAD). This was basically my reaction to the trailer:

It would be keeping with the comic if Glenn were to die but there’s a catch when it comes to the show: The core cast are superheroes at this point and killing off fan favorites would alienate big segments of the audience. So the core group is basically untouchable. Even Glenn who hasn’t had much to do this season.

I interpreted the Robin suit to suggest that The Joker had killed Jason Todd and so this is a world that potentially has a Nightwing in it.

Not sure I care if he doesn’t look right. Just as long as we get to play name that tune when he sings in the show like we did in the comic.

I felt like a lot of the dangling threads related to Frank in the end were all seeds for an inevitable Punisher show. It didn’t help the primary Daredevil plot but made for a pleasant backdoor pilot.

I kind of long for the days of “Away Teams”.

If they can manage to adapt that two parter The Tick vs. The Tick to the show and pull it off, I’ll totally get behind whoever is in the suit.
