I own a 4S which is the same width as the iphone 5 as shown on the many pictures. I know for a fact that my 4s's screen is unconfortable for reading due to its thinness. If it was a completely different form factor, not just stretched out, it would be a different question.

Landscape is worthless for serious reading. Instead of 10 super short lines of text you get 3 long lines of text. Both are annoying. I agree about getting another phone and my next phone wont be an iphone. I honestly think they hit an upper limit with the iphone 4s for me and there is no room for real improvement…

Im not sure if youve done alot of reading on the iphone but a longer screen does nothing for reading. Sure, you can fir more on the screen, but if you increase the text size you get extremely short lines.
