More like it decreases compression height on the piston, thus making it more vulnerable in high pressure/heat situations. But everyone does it anyways.

Wow.

408 requires a .030 over bore... On an ls2 block which has cylinder walls that typically become tin foil above a .005-.010 bore. Add boost and I don't see this one lasting long. Unless there is more to the story on the cylinder walls, such as Darton sleeves. Crack pipe.

It's kind of funny, but still nobody cares, because women's basketball.

The only reason this worked at all is because the car was running with the heater on and had melted the inside portion of the ice.

Yeah I thought that was going to be what this story was about. Not something we have all known for years.

Ahhh, Crosby... Now I'm craving Crawfish Shack. Thanks Jalopnik #notcrawfishseason

And here I was waiting 5 minutes for it to load.

How has dragon Vette not made it to the discussion yet?

Lol glad I'm not the only one who thought they were looking at something other than leftovers.

Seriously have to agree. I was one of the first people in Houston to own a C7 when they first came out, and there were times my girlfriend would be following behind me and I would see people cut her off to get behind me, then start swerving around while attempting to get a picture. It would make me livid. I understand

Yeah, I would just ignore the stereotypes. The "less privileged" still resort to high school level bullying when they realize they aren't on the same level mentally or financially as their superiors.

Yeah they are pretty bad, but nothing new to GM. Back in 05 I had one of the early CTS-V's, and those brakes dusted about the same. On the C7 with the size of the calipers you would actually have to remove the wheels to give them a good cleaning. I just downshift more coming to a stop so I have to use the brakes

I actually know a ton of C5-c6 Vette owners down here in Texas who build and modify the shit out of their cars, and wear scrappy t shirts from Target.

Actually there is a "trunk" on convertible models. always has been.

Yes, but if you would rather save 482 dollars and paint the calipers yourself, you probably aren't shopping for a Corvette anyways.

Could someone please move this comment to the top! Thanks

The cars on rails. Trust me, I own one. :)

Simply put, the people complaining about no hand brake are the same people who can not afford and have never driven a Corvette. I don't know a single person who brake slides in their Vette lol

Perhaps you have never owned a fast car with license plates? None of us are angels on the streets. Don't try to act like you've never had a moment where your butt cheeks weren't puckered for a couple hours.
