My body is ready. Thankfully, I only really interested in games from a couple of their franchises nowadays, and those are games I pick up for PS3 anyway.

Dang. Well, given the game's setup, I suppose that's a good way to make it extremely lightweight on the user end, since none of that data is really needed if you're never going to access it offline. Not a bad way to go about it IF you're going full-blown into online-only territory.
As far as I know, your saves are ONLY stored online; no local save files are used.
Sure as we've been the last 4 years :P
Some people prefer a game that has a theme, while others don't mind having a purely abstract game. Consider the difference between a Professor Layton puzzle game, and a game that's just straight up puzzles. Some people may not care about the theme behind the puzzles, and just enjoy solving them, while others enjoy…
Yeah, I used my DS3 with my PC for awhile, but having to use keymapping software all the time was a pain. I eventually broke down and got a wireless USB adaptor for my 360 controller (that way I could use my existing ones and didn't have to specifically buy a wired controller). It's just so much more plug-and-play…
You might have better luck splitting into two groups and playing smaller games. If you find some games that run under an hour, you'll have plenty of chances for people to swap around between groups. This also helps when certain people don't care for certain games that everyone else wants to play. If you're all…
Eurogame Master Race, eh Quintin? ;]
Eh, I've never had comfort issues with the DualShock. I've always really liked the feel of Dual Shock controllers, but the 360 controllers are fine too. Both are very comfortable, just a bit different. The 360 controller feels a lot chunkier to me, I don't care for the feel of its ABXY buttons compared to the…
If we get to the point where the release date is within 1 a month and we still haven't gotten a definitive answer on it, I'll be more worried. Thankfully, a flimsy "Yes" for the time being is a hell of a lot better than a"we don't comment blah blah"
I put off getting the original through a few Steam sales when it was ridiculously cheap, figuring that while I was slightly interested, I'd never get around to playing it for a long while. I figured it'd be fun, but wouldn't really hook me.
This.

I currently pay for PS+, and really enjoy it, so as long as those benefits continue it's not like it'd be a big difference to me, but I can see a mandatory sub fee being a definite hurdle for sales of the PS4 if it's required for online multiplayer. Hidden costs are one of the main reasons none of my friends have…
But will people opt out of buying a PS4 specifically because it does carry a mandatory fee to play online? The free online gaming has always been a big selling point for the PS3, especially when the PSN shrugged off its initial "you get what you pay for" quality concern comparisons between itself and XBOX.
Even if he was, that's a mental illness related issue. If they're looking into this just to try and get a better understanding of his motive, sure, I can understand that, but if they're looking for "evidence" to drop a heap of blame on the video games he played, then come on, really?
I'm on the same train. Absolutely loved Xenoblade, and failed to see why there was so much hype behind The Last Story. Maybe I just didn't make it to "the awesome part", but the first many hours were plain enough to make me stop playing, and I haven't gone back yet :/
What Madrock said.
Best laugh I've had in a long time. Thanks :P
I think most people just sub "SMT" for "MegaTen" nowadays. You're absolutely right in that SMT is the flagship series and the rest are technically spinoffs, though when most people use the term "SMT games" nowadays they're just referring the games in the Megami Tensei metaseries. Not technically correct, but it gets…
