Well, they have MHP3 HD version. It looks great on PS3, it's just import-only since localizing it would require Sony to develop the updated version of Ad-Hoc Party for the US Ad-Hoc Party. I imported it recently and have been having a blast with it :)

I'd like to see them drop the memory card prices before anything. I think $250 is a very reasonable price for the device, but those mem card prices are such a huge not-so-hidden cost.

I don't know, I had a blast seeing it in theaters. They just really pulled off the video-game effects to make the scenes pack a lot of punch, without it being incredibly cheesy or overdone (at least if you ask me).
