I see. Never really understood why they capped that, or why at such an easily hittable number. Given how much we run into each other here, I was going to say I should add you as well, but that may not work so hot!

I've been kind of afraid to pick it up. One, because although I enjoyed my playthrough of UC3, I felt the series definitely plateaued, and from what I'd heard Golden Abyss is just "pretty good". And second, while all the launch titles tend to go a bit overboard on this, it seemed like the game was Sony's

:] Just watch, this will end up being the longest thread of the day.

So I've found Near to be a fun little tool on the Vita. Even if I've yet to take my Vita out of my apartment, it's neat to see all the people in my area that are also playing. I knew there were other gamers in my building (duh), but I don't really know anyone else, and haven't taken an effort to do so, since I

How much does that cap at, anyway? I'm nowhere near it, but was always curious.

As the only one of my friends with a Vita, I'm game. My PSN name's the same as this as well.

I'd say Tactics Ogre as well, hands down. Fantastic game. The FFIV collection is also fantastic choice. Unfortunately the digital versions of some of these can still be a bit pricy. As a Monster Hunter fan, I'd suggest MH Freedom Unite, but they aren't for everyone ;)

I decided to invest in a 32gb, but I'm also going to stick to only digital purchases for it. I have a good chunk of digital PSP games already, so it works well.

oops, mis-reply. Ignore this.

If you own a PS3, it's on the PSN store for a few bucks.

If you create a global event, you see people racing around you live, though there's no collision between people even there. As far as I know, you can create and join a global event, and can just wait for all your friends to be ready before hopping out of the chopper. Then you're all riding down together.

If you turn on classic controls that button will once again be bound to a grab, a-la old SSX games. I tried this for a little while and my thumb started to remember the pain it'd get from trying for hours to get platinum medals in some of the later SSX3 trick runs... I may have to adapt to the new controls :P

Ah, interesting to know regardless :]

They've said they're basically just waiting to make sure this is successful before they put work into moving it to other platforms. Given the genre and presumed risk with the title, I'd say that's a fair decision on their part. The game has been getting pretty great reviews, and lots of people are really hyped for

I'd say the core is definitely still there, and strong. It plays a bit differently, since they use a different collision engine that basically lets you trick off a lot more random stuff. There are still rocks and trees that you can smash into, but you can create your own jumps and opportunities a LOT more in this

*shrug* There's still crazy stuff in this game, it's just less of a man-made event ground. I don't recall there being as much of THAT type of stuff since the original SSX, though. Even SSX3 was pretty much strictly mountain stuff.

They've said they're waiting to see if this is successful before they consider other platforms. I'm sure Vita would be where it goes, since I believe it's a pretty simple task to port PS3 games to Vita.

That's always been an oddity in SSX games. The funny thing is, this is probably the first game in the series that's actually had a somewhat legitimate excuse. As far as I can tell, their bindings consist of magnetic discs on the board that their boots connect to. I want to say there's been research into this tech,

In some games, that omission isn't such a huge deal. Here, it seems pretty weird. I doubt I'd use it myself, but still a bummer for those in situations like yours :c

It's finally SSX day! Been waiting for this for monnnthhhsssssss.
