I was just thinking that earlier today. With all the shitty stuff happening in all these states, I feel very blessed that California is rarely one of them. I actually feel kind of safe being a woman in this state. It's worth the cost of living.

I just say I earned two bachelors degrees and one teaching credential, which took me 6 years. If they don't think that's reasonable that's their problem. There's nothing wrong with taking this long, I know people who are 26 who have been seniors in college for 4 years now.

I have two degrees and a teaching credential, and this year I was in a job that made 15k. I just got hired in a job making 27k - a job that required all of those degrees and that credential. And I got extremely exceptionally lucky to get that. Like, get-on-my-knees-and-thank-Jeebus lucky.
