Does it make you feel like this?

The best adaptation I’ve seen to date is Kurosawa’s Throne of Blood.

Looks about right t’me. Y’see, back in dinosaur times, a dead channel wasn’t blue like it is today. Nosir, it was a black/white/black maelstrom of switching phosphorescence, containing all possibilities and none, resolving into a grey miasma.

I do feel pretty stupid now. Not because you’re an expert in trying to divert from my argument through derision and nonequivalence, but because I’ve wasted my time arguing with a fool.

It’s rather pointless to look at diversity in a single book. What matters is that there are many different backgrounds and perspectives overall. I don’t mind books having all white characters as long as it’s not the only story being told.

To be fair, he learned at the feet of Qui-Gonn Jinn, who is terrible at all decisions.

This is a story where horrible, horrible things happen to all kinds of people; men, women, children, the elderly. If you can’t stomach it, don’t watch it, but please save your outrage for things that happen to real people in the real world.

I was going to say something similar... I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if the downplaying of the Others in the book was an intentional choice by GRRM to mimic the seeming indifference that most of the realm pays to them.

Exactly, and that’s the whole point, GRRM is trying to make. He wants you to get wrapped up in the petty intrigue of the Small Counsel and the “noble” families while the real threat to all humanity is hurtling like a meteor to smash it all to pieces.

Done through a minor character from a backwater who dies on layer 9 1/2 of the cake via a random stabbing instigated by the Queen. The last 1/2 layer will be completed by Jaime Lanister in two books from now.

I had no idea DC had a MOBA.

Good news, no amount of remakes will ruin the original.

Im not upset with this as long as they dont change the fact that Jack Burton is a idiot and Wang is really the hero of the movie.

I see Bond as more of a thrill-seeking sociopath who isn’t so much for or against murder as he is utterly indifferent to the death and destruction he causes.

In my opinion the Doctor kinda needs the Time Lords because the Doctor is first and foremost a rebel. And with the Time Lords all dead, that leaves the Doctor as an authority figure, and he can’t really both a sign of authority and a rebel at the same time because if you’re the last of your kind, who are you going to
