Well I have to say, if this is what the article is actually talking about then I feel relieved. I pull the occasional "I'm such an idiot" when I do the dishes wrong just to diffuse the lady-rage, but I'd never do anything like that.

If I can give one key piece of advice to all guys who are dating: don't self-degrade or apologize for being you. If you clearly did something wrong then man up, but if she didn't like the way you did the dishes tell her tough shit. In the long run both of you will be happier.
