But not every public gets to vote! Isn’t that what happened with the new Braves stadium in Cobb county (that the powers that be did it on their own authority without ever asking the taxpayers)?

I do sometimes. Usually if I’m concerned that I’m not going to make it somewhere on time, Maps provides a pretty good ETA.
Someone needs to do a black comedy where Best and Jake Lloyd team up to kidnap Lucas, angry over all the flack they’ve caught over the years.
For years—decades!—all everyone wanted was a way to pick and choose the cable channels they wanted. Just pay for the stuff they liked, and nothing else. That’s all. That couldn’t be so bad...
I see two answers, to solve two problems:
My office chair does something similar with methane.
The only thing that resembles “Microbus” with this is calling it a “Microbus”. It looks like a Kia Soul. Secondly- I’d be a tad suspect about an Electric car made by a company that can’t even make reliable electric power windows.
If the, a, any government wanted to beat it’s citizens into submission they could, easily. See the numerous world wide examples.
Very well stated. I often think that socio-politically charged subjects like gun control are too nuanced to have a blanket solution satisfy all parties involved. Even though I believe conceptually this is a good thing, you do raise some rather litigious points about the 2nd amendment.
That is why sensible gun policy also includes the caveat, that any right or freedom comes with an inherent risk. There will always be gun crime if we allow people to be armed against future tyranny. It is just a matter of a view whether or not gun crime now is worse than tyranny later.
Also, common sense. This…
eciggarettes will not function without a charge. Phones will not function without a charge. Both items are pointless without electricity.
Also I would point out the whole “more poeple die from guns than cars” stat is incredibly misleading. The vast majority of gun deaths are suicide. Having a trackable gun isn’t going to do squat to reduce those deaths. Hell, eliminating guns altogether isn’t going to really stop suicides, you will just get more…
If the idea of the 2nd Amendment is to ensure the citizenry can protect itself from a future tyrannical government (which if you have read the federalist papers and other writings of the drafters of the constitution, it is pretty clear that was the intent). How illogical would it be to grant that same government a big…
I’m for gun reform but this is dumb. Guns are too simple and mostly mechanic, people will bypass this stuff easily. You just separate the electronics from the mechanics.
Ohhhh. Thanks man I had never thought of that.
Funny how this is all hitting the fan because an Obama appointed prosecutor who is a Democrat instructed the FBI to investigate. Those crazy right-wingers are so devious they’ve got the left-wing doing their dirty-work!
Sure, “tell them to go fuck themselves” and then be held in contempt and spend a couple of days in jail. If you’re subpoened to testify before Congress, your options are very limited. As it should be, by the way.
Or maybe, being someone directly involved with what went on, his knowledge of the situation means he knows that he actually should take the fifth.
You millenial hipsters might be dismissive of this story because you are too young to remember the Clinton era of the 90s. When you were in elementary school the Clinton’s were busy carrying out what is by far the most corrupt 8 years in the history of the executive office. Yes this includes Nixon. Hillary isnt even…
Now we will never know if she wiped the server with a cloth.
