This is sacrilegious. This is one of the cars that should be manual only. If you cant drive a stick, then fucking learn or move on.
Yeah yeah yeah, I was fixated on the ATS as my "big car filter" has been intact for years
Well, then I'm an idiot.
Do they have V-sport with any manual transmissions?
Maybe that's the problem. BMW and Audi do "M-sport" and "S-line" between their volume models and high-end, while Cadillac says you get the plebeian model or full on race car.
They put a CVT in the performance model, and entirely removed the manual. Inexcusable.
I think the Windstar likely had better body panel fit
NO! The Forester XT is a CVT only! Travesty.
Audi sold an A3 5-door here in the states for years, and it didn't really make any waves. Then comes Mercedes with their hugely successful CLA and all the sudden we have an American-friendly, decidedly non-hatchback A3.
The S-97 was pitched as having a cyclic stick that twists to control yaw (like all those old PC flight sim sticks when you didn't have rudder pedals), and uses pedals to control the pusher thrust, believe it or not.
Not appreciably different, though it is hard to quantify analytically since VRS is a highly unsteady event.
Escape from VRS would be easier than in conventional helicopters, like it is in tiltrotors, because in the Sikorsky ABC you can independently control the summed rotor vector (virtually) with the application of…
I worked on X2. Yes, the aerodynamic principles scale up essentially indefinitely. However, building a rotor system rigid enough at the required rotor radius is beyond the capability of any current materials. And there are clear issues of packaging so that you don't essentially hang the entire QCA and hub out in the…
X2 tech is fantastic for < 12,000lb gross weight. This thing will kick ass all day in the AAS role.
The Colorado is great, but don't call it "small."
It's still too big.
And you cannot get the manual with 4x4.
obligatory
Thanks to their closeness, I often wondered if I liked the Golf R better than the S3. On the inside, I definitely do. Besides the aggressively bolstered and extremely comfortable seats, the R dumps the S3's the bargain-basement air vents and long swath of cheap dashboard plastic for piano black, silver carbon…
They've been talking about the Golf Variant for a long ass time now, and I cannot for the life of me figure out when its ACTUALLY supposed to be on the market in the US.
Agree 100% percent. Whenever concept car stories come up in the automotive press, I literally keep scrolling.
I drove one of these over christmas as a rental. Not impressed. Everyone commented how nice it looked. But the general feel of the interior and drivetrain is sub par.
