True, these things are almost always cyclical in nature.

Suppose I am revolted because I much prefer understated styling provided by the likes of Audi (the word bespoke comes to mind) and pre-Bangle BMW.

You must be into the whole hyundai sonata melted-fruit look, eh?

BAM! Nailed it! In the commercial, the thing freaking lights up!

Au contraire! (I bought this car new, and only recently sold it)

They killed the impreza GT because they sold like eight and a half of them here. Nobody wants the idea behind an Impreza GT versus a WRX.

To everyone who had hope for the next WRX/STI after the concept, and has been living in denial since the camo'd turd production prototype was spied...

Every elctronic parking brake I have seen has an LED indiciating it is deployed, even when the car is off.

Tom goes to the mayor!

Nailed it!

Tell me you've tried their brisket breakfast tacos...

Chef's point is fantastic, I literally live 10 minutes north of them on the highway. That duck!

People hated the Liberty because it drove like a hot steaming pile of garbage. It wasnt the "Jeep styling" that people disparaged.

Being so sick and tired of having to stare at all the hideous blue-painted interior pieces, it committed the equivalent of t-top seppuku

Wait....youre saying a large number of people want a car to feel off road capable, not actually be offroad capable, and not even look off road capable?

So what would have been the problem with wrapping the exact same mechanical vehicle with styling that wasnt trying to force "being different for the sake of being different" down the throats of Jeep purists?

wtf is up with kinja

No Spirit RT love??

Naggers?

BMW and Mercedes are the domestic brands in Europe. Not exactly a direct comparison. Notice they did not offer those models here for that precise reason; to cultivate that brand prestige.

It was a serious question.
