I've been around kids who've never been spanked. I've been around kids who have. The latter are, on average, much more pleasant people to be around.

Most of the people I know who live “paycheck to paycheck” are stupid with what money they do have. Putting even $20 a month away is better than blowing that money on an evening out drinking. Most could put away more than that per paycheck if they were just smarter about it.
